Reviews
Suncrest
Jumped on a hot deal as a single to fill a foursome. Got paired with 3 awesome guys, felt just as comfortable as I do playing with my usual golf buddies. The course is in great shape. Nice fairways and great greens. No sand, only grass waste areas. Will definitely play again!
Pace of Play killed our round and chances of coming back
5 1/2 hour for 18 holes. Backed up with 3 foursome ahead and 2 foursomes behind us by the 3rd hole. Waited 30 minutes on par 3s. 2 foursomes behind left after the 3rd hole and another during the turn at 10. Rangers would not move the outing ahead, allow us to play through or get a refund so we stuck it out. Overall course was in decent shape. Layout was okay, no sand traps or water holes but lots of hills and trees. Starter, ranger and bartender were friendly. Basic snack bar - turkey sandwich, hot dog, nuts, etc. Rate for 18 is good but pace of play ruined the round.
We'll kept course
Great day on the course. Pace was a bit slow but got better on 2nd 9. Course is in great shape but pretty narrow fairways. will definitely be back
SLOWEST round of golf ever
5 holes took slightly over 2 hours, course starter was disorganized and St Barnabus residents golf for free I found out...it's seniors who are nice ect...but play is god awfully slow
Slowest partial round ever
It was a beautiful day and figured I'd try Suncrest for the first time. I arrived 15 min early to get a few putts in and was greeted by staff...he said he was sending me out alone because the other 3 wanted to play as threesome...he stated he told them to let me play thru when i caught them...this was odd as I was early and a 3 some did just tee off...Problem came in as I caught them and there was a 2 foresome backlog almost immediately. There was no way to play thru them. 45 min later after playing 2 holes only, a 3 some caught up and I asked about tee time, this was the 3 I was supposed to play W/ in the first place so I was lied to...unfortunantly on the 5th hole, there were 3 groups lined up to the green...5 holes took 2:05...I left after the 5th hole, I realize now that st barnibas owns this and conleys and older groups golf there alot...but the slow play, poor play, even saw a kid around 8-9 years old going out when I was leaving...
Bottom line is course was well enough kept but being lied to, mgmt and organization was non existent, cant manage a course like that IMO...thou st barnibus will keep it full and slow so I guess they figure anyone else's money they can grab...even if it's a one time deal is good enough.
Decent course
First time at Suncrest and the course was nicely maintained but, I wish they had taken down the ball cleaners. I had no way to clean my ball. I also wish they had blown the leaves off the course so you don’t lose balls in the leaves and spending time looking for it. Would help the pace of play. I like how you were eased into the course from the first tee. First 2 holes were a par 4, next hole a par 3 then back to back par fives. Pace was super slow as it took me almost five hours to play.
Suncrest is a star again.
Never disappointed when I play here.
Great staff, great course and great bar.
Thats all I need.😄😄😄
Tough ruff
The course is tree lined, and the 4 inch rough made it a challenge to find your ball if you missed the fairways. Fairways and greens were perfect.
Cut on greens would be good for Fairway cut
I have never played this course where the greens were so slow. They needed cut and rolled for sure.
Absolutely beautiful course. No practice facility
The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. This place had the small town charm and warmth of a private club. Food was great and libation selection was very plentiful.
The ONLY complaint I’d have is that there’s no practice facility. If that’s not something you need, this course will be be perfect for you.
Conditions were fantastic. Greens were soft and rolled. Fairways were consistent and well groomed. I will def be back!
