Disapointed

It was a long ride to the course ( 1'45'') but it seemed like a nice course based on reviews. It turned out that even though i was there early ... there was a league on the front nine .. so they sent me off the back. They were nice in the clubhouse about it and I thought by the time I was done it would be clear but NOOOO! So I had to play the back twice. It's ok ... not long but tight and hilly in spots.

I was sad to not play the front nine - longer by far but it was not happening this day. The greens were nice but soft. The fairways were were good but the grass was pretty long.

I never expected a league first thing Monday am ... Its a shame because I can't justify driving that far to try it again!

A good small course

Summit Hills is a good small course. It is never too busy, but has some mistakes. There are no signs telling you where to go, but overall it is good. They have improved in maintenance.

Great Views

This course is a cash only operation, pro shop directed me to an ATM located on premises. Golf carts are also older models. Greens were in good shape, and the fairways were rock hard without much rain lately. Front 9 is fairly tame with holes running parallel to each other. Holes 10-14 are the brawn of the course, especially the tight down hill par 3 11th to a small green. While not a bad course, I would not go out of my way to play it, but playing on a mountain top, you will enjoy the views before you descend down to the back 9. With a bit of elevation changes, I would not want to walk it.

Good Overall, has some problems

This course has good character. The fairways are very hilly, so it makes it very challenging. The holes are unmarked, so it was very confusing through out the round. The cart paths are very bumpy, so we used the rough and fairway. There is no grounds crew, so the greens are brown and the bunkers are muddy and hard to get out of. It is not the worst golf course I have been to.

Good course to have fun

Good place for fun and the money. It would be nice if the owner would throw a buck or two into sprucing up the bunkers and perhaps shaving it up around the greens.
