Dogwood Hills Golf Course
About
Dogwood Hills Golf Course in Claysville is tucked away in the rolling hills of southwestern Pennsylvania. The landscape provides an ideal terrain for golf complete with mature trees and of course plenty of changes in elevation. Be prepared for tricky uneven lies and a few tough blind shots as well. The small, undulating greens and tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and careful course management. You won't find much water on the golf course but you'll hardly miss it with the strategically placed bunkers and rolling contours. Dogwood Hills provides a challenging round for the casual scratch golfer but the forward tees are also great practice for beginners. This hidden gem is one of the most affordable golf courses in the Pittsburgh area.

This is a beautiful course hidden in the hills of PA. Small operation and quiet when I was there, but challenging hilly layout. Well worth the trip!
Friendly staff and unique course

steal of a deal on hotdeal but even at regular fee

Out of the Way Gem!
Our-of-Towners looking to play 18 on a Saturday morning after a Friday wedding in Canonsburg and Dogwood pops us as available. Checked around other reviews of the course and asked a friend or two and all were favorable, though some mentioned it way a little hilly. They did not lie.
My son-in-law, my grandson and myself took about 25 minutes to get here from Southpointe in Canonsburg and saw a smallish clubhouse, well- kept, shorter course and met a gregarious owner and his son. After pleasantries, he gave us an overview of the course, described elevated tees and greens, uneven lies, a couple tips and safety rules and off we went.
We found shorter holes, but the terrain more than made up for the challenge factor. The greens were smooth and undulating, as my first putt on #1 rolled off the front and had to chip back up. From there, we maneuvered our way through 17 more picturesque, rolling to mountainous hills and holes, carefully steering the cart as we went along. We finished, a little tired from the slopes but glad we found this out of the way gem!
Pace of play was fairly quick as our 3-some finished in 3:15, the green fees were economical, and course in great shape. A great find for us!
Great place!
Well maintained course with a lot of fun tee shots. The owner Will is awesome. I definitely recommend!
All Good
My kudos to the owner of this course. He’s pouring heart and soul into this place and the greens and fairways are in immaculate shape. A true gem in SW Pa. Not for the faint of heart but a true challenge of shot making.
When you’re here you’re family
Other tee times available other than hot deals. Well worth the hot deal price to check this place out. Plenty of risk reward holes. Met the owner and he’s awesome, treats you like family. 100% will be back again
Great value, friendly staff
Had a great time playing 18. Staff were friendly and it’s a cute family owned course. Just be careful of bees around the first hole if you’re allergic!
Great course
This is a great course for players of all skill levels. Despite being in the middle of an insane drought, course was very well maintained and played great. Staff was very nice, and owner is a great guy. Cant wait to come back out here soon.
Great course!
Well maintained family owned course. Will, the owner, could not have been nicer to us. He was great. Course is very hilly, but many in this area are. Layout is nice, pace is fast and a great value.. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!
Good for practice
Good course to practice on, just do not expect championship level layout or maintainence.
Challenging course nestled into hills with open fairways
Course in good condition with great care by owner Will and his staff. Fairways and greens have slope which makes this shorter track fun and challenging as longer courses. Views are spectacular as it isn’t around any housing or commercial development.
