Nice Course for the $$$
I recomend it for the $$$ NOT fancy and not a hard course but tight and fun to play. There is a par 5 that should be a par 4 so you should have a good honest chance at an eagle.
Short round
This course is a deal but you get exactly what you paid for. Recently downsized from an 18 hole course to a 9 due to mountain bike trails and a zipline course. Not the greatest action for golfers in western NC but is ideal course for a quick 9 holes.
The course needed work on it
The course was a 9 hole course played twice to make 18 holes. To many with bugs in the sand traps and water. Golf cart was uncomfortable. We were rained out so got a rain check which was nice.
Above average challenge and value
A lot of hazards and narrow fairways demands patience and accuracy. But considering the price, it is worth it. I played twice and both times had slow groups to play thru. Never saw any marshalls. Not walking friendly. Two par4 unfair blind hazards off tee. Small greens with slopes.Still enjoyed it.
tight fairways
Short course with tight fairways, but that is the only defense the course has. Greens were ok, and the fairways were soggy from a large downpour. Played behind a 5 some, but they let me through after 2 holes.
Good people, poor course
If you are looking for a relaxing round of golf this is the one for you. If you take it decently serious and enjoy the game I would recommend another course.
Course is close to home so it's easy access
Crown plaza is a great course to play if you live in or around Asheville , close , and for the most part reasonably priced if you catch a deal , however full price for this course is too much , it's great but not worth 25-30.00 catch a golf now deal and play for 15-20.00 Thts a good price for tht course
Quick course
I'm a novice player and enjoyed the easy flow of this course. I used a cart but with the tight layout it would be an easy walk. This was my first experience with Golfnow and everything thing went off without a hitch. Thanks for an easy to use great app.
The course has a great layout, smooth pace of play, easy to moderate degree of difficulty, and well worth the price to get a quick game.

scenic lil 9 hole course
Lots of elevation changes, creeks run through many of the holes, well maintained greens...great place to play if you dont have a lot of time....would visit again
They should pay you to play!
This course is by far the worst I have ever played. This course is very short and could be a good course for beginners! The only problem is is that the gmfairways were cut at over 2.5 inches and it was pure weeds. Rough was over 4 inches. Greens were ok considering the rest of the course! There is more emphasis on tennis here for sure. I took my wife and we payed for 18. We left after nine. The ranger was awkward and hit balls in between groups. Overall this place needs serious work and I will never play here again. It has potential but obviously no one cares about this track!!
What golf course?
Upon arriving, we realized really quickly that Crown Plaza is not trying in any way to promote their golf program. They are all about tennis. There are no signs labeling the pro shop. As a matter of fact, we were in the proshop and asked where it was. Once we finally got checked in, and finally found our worn out golf cart, we hit the course. We only got 4 holes in due to weather and it was nothing spectacular to say the least. The greens were fuzzy and slow. I played this course when it was 18 holes and it was much better. They destroyed much of the back nine to put in tennis courts. Needless to say, I left there very disappointed.
Unique setup, conditions need more attention
9 Hole Course Par 34. Played the white tees as the front and Blue tees as the back. Some holes are ridiculously short - 400 yard Par 5, 87 yard Par 3 downhill. Course was fairly easy, I'm about a 14 handicap and I shot 73 (+5). It was a pretty unique setup but the conditions could use some attention, some fairways were almost like rough. Greens rolled pretty well though.
very disappointing
Fairways are literally like some random field of grass. I have not personally played a worse course. ..ever!
nice for a 9 hole course
Narrow fairways, you will learn to hit the ball straight. Lots of hazards such as creeks, ponds, trees and even a railroad. It can be a little tough but my son and I really enjoy playing here.
Mountain course needs a fairway mower
This course needs attention in all areas. Played yesterday morning, carts were filthy. Greens were not mowed, fairways not mowed and generally disappointed with the course. Would not play it again. Too bad, it's a pretty layout. Just needs help.
Nice course with beautiful scenery
Enjoyabe course but very wet conditions due to recent weather. Greens were above average and fairways ok. I think the amount of rain in the last few weeks has made the fairways a bit more difficult to play from, but under normal conditions they would really be nice. Hard to beat the layout of the course.
Beautiful course.
If your new to the area (I'm visiting from Ohio), the club house is difficult to find because of the lack of signage on and around the drives and buildings. However, the course is absolutely beautiful with hills, trees, and winding streams. This is a 9-hole course, played twice for 18 holes. The fairways and greens were in good shape, the rough just off the fairways was a little high. I couldn't find five of my golf balls, but if you keep it in the fairway (you're a better golfer than me), you will have no trouble. The golf cart had no trouble with the hills. The fees were reasonable. Very enjoyable. I will definitely play this course again when I'm back in the area.
Not bad for the value
To be fair- it had been raining a lot in previous days- so course was rough- had not mowed- fairways were like rough. Greens in good shape. Directions to bag drop and check in are terrible- very poor sinage for resort course.
But- wife ourt shopping so not a bad 3 hours
