tight in places but lots of fun
Play was quick but very challenging. This was my first time on this course and I plan to return
In-Town Golf for a quick tuneup
Shorter 9-hole course that has a decent layout, but needs a little attention in the fairways and around the greens. Greens are in great condition. This courses central location in town makes it easily accessible for a quick iron tuneup. Good luck around the greens.
Horrible
The redesign was a disaster. The original 18 hole layout was prime for a manicure that would reveal a gem if the new owners (Crown Plaza) had simply renovated the original 18 hole layout . It was short enough to allow for practically anyone to play, and had distinctively different holes that were unique and had a feel of mountain outdoors considering the proximity to downtown. Instead, they butchered an 18 hole course for a 9 hole course that is not even an improvement...Rather, it is a total sickening mess of a "Golf Course"......and the result was simply unplayable for anyone who plays golf for an experience. Actually...They should fire the person who was responsible. I would recommend that if I was in charge of Crown Plaza golf operations I would now dump this mistake into the market before our name was tarnished..it is THAT BAD.
Narrow course, but challenging
This course is in better shape than I ve seen in years
Confusing, Poorly maintained course
We decided to try this course as it was close and reasonable. First problem is finding the pro shop. There are some signs that point towards the pro shop but no sign on the pro shop. Turns out it is in the same place as the pool. The guy behind the desk was pleasant enough but ended up charging us more than the reservation price. Next problem is finding the first tee. Again no signs, so had to ask. The course itself is in poor shape and somewhat confusing. Some of the holes had almost no fairway. The course does have many elevation changes and lots of streams and ponds. Next time will drive a little farther and try another course.
Course is very challenging
Course has a lot of water hazards, and a lot of par three holes, but is challenging even for an experienced golfer. Play time for nine was around 2 hours, with waiting for others in front, and searching for balls in creeks, but still a fun and good experience.
