Great time
First time playing here had a great time. Conditions were great and would definitely return
Awesome value
The only place I can go to golf for 20 bucks or less. Some of the fairways are brown and the gnats are insanely annoying... But other than that its a nice course for the money.
Nice Course
Course was nice and played fairly decent..would like to go again when it isn’t foggy since we really didn’t see the first 7 holes due to fog.
Great course for the money
This course is a great 9 hole course where the tees are different enough to make a difference when doing 18. Pace of play and the greens are also very good.
Nice
Very nice course. Only 9 holes but different tee boxes help with that. Very well maintained. Not difficult but average golfer will like it.
Surprised
Nice, scenic and you can't beat the price. Friendly staff.
1st time at the Hawk 2018
Always enjoy an inexpensive quick 9 after work at the Hawk! Yes its only 9 holes but they take pride in keeping these 9 in great shape. We who have lived in the area always talk about what was and why it is but at least we still have the "back" 9 to enjoy. I chose to play all 9 twice except 15 & 16 in 2.5 hrs. Perfect for practice by myself and could take my time. It did get busier after 4PM. Get out and ENJOY!
Candid Observation
First of all I must point out that the #1 Tee off was previously the #10 Tee off so that renders your GPS useless as you cannot determine slopes, direction or yardage. This course was previously the back 9 of an 18 hole course, the front 9 being now a property development,so if you wish to play an 18 you literally loop the course. What strikes you at first is as soon as the sun comes up there is a strong fowl odor that resonates throughout the course and it's quite distasteful.I was really annoyed also that the sand in the bunkers were like cement making it a nightmare to hit out of.The rough is rough,if by chance you hit off the fairways kiss your ball goodbye.Clearly this course would be no longer in existence in a few years as it would also be sold to developers so dont expect any further infrastructure to be put in place.
9 holes
This course is no longer 18 holes. The original front nine has been developed into a housing development. The layout is fine and the greens were in good shape, but the rest of the course is mediocre at best.
9 HOLE COURSE
This used to be a decent 18 hole course. They have destroyed 9 holes in order to build a neighborhood. This was not clear on the website. The remaining holes are in pitiful shape. Large dirt patches in the middle of the fairways. This course should only be played by guys trying to teach their children to play, because there isn't fear of holding up other golfers. I will never play there again.
Happy but sad
I have not played of late because of back surgery, so I was excited to fell well enough to play. So when I arrived to the course I was taken back by surprise that it has changed from 18 holes to 9. I knew this was in the works many years ago but I just didn't know they started the work, or I would have played somewhere else. Anyway, I took my eight year old daughter with me and played to my surprise a well maintained 9 hole course you go around twice. It had two different sets of tees well marked and the course was in fantastic shape. So overall I had a good time and I was fortunate enough to have the course almost to myself. I just could not imagine if it was crowded and slow play would be. Enough said, it was worth the $13 I spent on the course.
Great course
Unfortunately now you play same nine holes twice would have loved to seen it back when it was all 18 either way beautiful will definitely be coming back
Very special time was had. It has become a 9 hole course with several holes having different tee boxes for the second time around. A developer owns the course and the front nine is being made into a housing development. They have done an excellent job on the golf course.
