Narrow and challenging

Very enjoyable round. I went out on a Tuesday afternoon as a single while my wife took the afternoon off, and flew through all 18 in about 2 hours. Only ran into 1 other 2some on the entire course since storms were threatening and scared away the crowds.

The course is pretty narrow and the greens fairly small and protected, so precise shooting is a must for a good score. Very little water but lots of hills. I played the middle tees which are only 6000 yards, and found that I ran out of fairway on a few dog-legs due to lack of course knowledge... better club selection should solve that next time, though I'm generally not a fan of holes where you have to club-down off the tees. There were no long carries required so you don't need to be a big hitter to have success... just shoot straight(er than me).

There were quite a few houses along the edges of some holes, but they were well located and never truly in play so you didn't have to worry about an errant shot beaning someone in the head while they mow the lawn.

Overall, very enjoyable. Recommended.

Expect Interference

As a resident, and member of the Treasure Lake Men's Golf Association you would expect this review to be kindly, but it's not.
I have played both the Gold and Silver courses numerous times. The maintenance and conditions of both courses are always immaculate, but because the courses are wound around residential neighborhoods you will run into a lot of pedestrian traffic, with casual walkers, and people walking their dogs on the Golf Course. It's a nuisance that persists.

Silver Course, Updated and Well Maintained...

I really like this course, I do have a lakehouse in treasure lake and try to play the Silver and Gold course a couple times a year when I am up there with friends.

The course seemed to be in really good shape this year.

Course is very playable, but still challenging enough for a low handicapper.

There are holes that do require strategy, and some grip-it-and-rip-it holes as well...

Great place for a round with buddies!

Nice Course, worth the drive...

The gold course at Treasure Lake is well maintained, and typically not crowded. It does play tight, grip it and rip it will end up with many lost balls... It plays pretty tight, long irons, hybrids and fairway woods off the tees, and you will still have a decent shot to the green, as the course isn't too long.
Pair this with the Silver course, and you would have a nice day or weekend of golf; with the Silver course being really nice, but much more forgiving...

Very scenic course ,always great shape

I have played both the gold and silver courses at Treasure Lake within the past month and would like to say they were both in pristine condition . I live about 90 miles away but still make the drive to play them a time or two a year because they are two of my favorites. Both courses are carved out of the woods and very scenic with the gold course having narrow fairways and more changes in direction and elevation . you almost never see another hole from the one you're playing . The silver course is a little wider and maybe a bit longer but also very scenic. The staff in the proshop and clubhouse at both courses is excellent . If you havent played them you really are missing out on two top shelf courses .

Very nice course.

Course has capability of being set up tough or moderate depending on tees played, length of rough and pin placement. Plays very fair and is in very good condition for amount of play. Well maintained.........

The high draw is especially useful on this course.

You have to work the ball both ways but the high draw is most useful. Alot of right to left doglegs. Driver is not needed on quite a few par fours. I enjoyed the course but is very demanding for accuracy.

Very challenging due to the tight fairways.

The Treasure Lake Gold course is not a long course, but it requires accuracy to score well. Course management is a must. The course was fairly busy for a week day due to a tournament being held on the Silver Course. I have played it before in less than 3.5 hours.

Tight Course

This course is very difficult if you can't control your driver. Most tee shots require the golfer to move the ball either right to left or left to right. The greens were immaculate, the ball rolls about as true as could be. Only problem I had was there were several areas that looked like they plowed and were planting new grass, but overall a great course for the price.

Bunkers rocky.....

Bunkers seemed to have a lot of rocks in them.
Would like to see flag colors for pin depths on greens.
Garmin GPS has the two nines reversed.

This course should be very good a little more into the season

It appears they have just opened for the Golf Season. Greens are slow and the fairways are filling in. First cut of ruff was coming along very well. The course layout is enjoyable but a little too tree tight in places for the average player. The staff was very nice and courteous. If you have never played here before you should drive ahead on many of the holes to see what lies ahead as neither the card nor your gps are going to give a good indication...Fun Course when you know where you are going
