A good value for money
A well maintained public course with good service.
Great greens that’s about it
Fun course, glad I tried it, pace of play was really slow on a Saturday, over 5hours, back 9 very crowded, constant carts and balls coming into fairway from other holes, hit by 1 ball and almost by several more.
Great course!
This was the first time I played this course. I was really impressed with the course conditions. The staff was amazing. Pace of play was outstanding. Overall it gets my second highest rating. I hardly ever rate this high. I'll definitely be back.
Best local pubic course, just be patient with the pace.
Santa Anita is one of the best kept public courses in the area with the foothills behind almost every shot. Pace is extremely slow, but as long as you're okay with that, it's well worth the cost.
The pace was terrible
There was no enforcement or measurements taken to ensure efficient pace. I was waiting 10 minutes in between every single shot because of how slow players were playing. And that was partly due to the fact that the course scheduled multiple foursomes back to back to back with tee times 5 minutes apart! The amount of people per party should correlate with how much time is in between each group. It was very congested, and I was twiddling my thumbs waiting for most of the round. Not super worth it to me
Santa Anita golf
Had a great round at Santa Anita. Course was in great shape and it was very pleasent.
Pace of play
Pace of play was horrendous. Groups of 5 forming up at par threes causing 25-30 min waits to tee off. Fairways and bunkers were in pretty good shape. Greens were trashed and beat up like nobody has fixed a pitch mark ever.
Spectator Fee…
They charged me a spectator fee for my 6yr old who’s just watching his iPad. There’s no exceptions based on age, and it’s an additional 21usd. Bit ridiculous as they’re acting like a country club during a 11:20am tee time on a Monday.
Course was average and needs some additional upkeep. No number to call food ahead before you start the back 9. Pace of play was not great as we were waiting at each hole. Took us 3hrs to finish the front 9. Note it was a Monday at 11:20am.
Staff wasn’t the friendliest and they were doing field upkeep (mowers) while people were in the middle of their play.
Slowest pace of play in my life
Played 9 holes in 3.5 hours. Insane pace of play. Three / four group pile ups on tee boxes.
