Nice course
Was a good pace of place, course was in good condition. Only time we were held up was around the par 3 holes, but that’s typical at most courses.
Great open course
Nice open concept course plays well definitely recommended you will not losse balls.
Fun layout
Nice course a bit slow as no Marshall on course to keep pace of play. Overall fun course with lots of challenging holes.
Took Over 5 Hours to Finish
Great course, good conditions. Terrible pace of play. According to the built in timer on my Arcos app, it took us 5 hours and 21 minutes to play 18 here. And our tee time got pushed back because the course was behind
6 HOUR ROUNDS DO NOT PLAY HERE
After a 3 hour front 9, where the group in front of us was a 5-some, I went into the clubhouse to see if they would refund me half of the absurd $65 fee because I wanted to leave and not play a 6 hour round. The man at the desk said verbatim: “no one told you this is a 5/ 5 and a half hour round?” I said “no, and it’s also a 6 hour round”. He wouldn’t refund me and that was that. Never playing here again.
Always enjoy playing here.
Friendly staff & course was in good shape. Love the views. Backed up a lil bit on the back 9, but finished all 18 in 4.5hrs. Always enjoy playing here. 10/10 recommend.
Better Conditions
A couple months ago I left a one star review for Santa Anita.. I couldn’t believe how bad it was… decided to come back after the rains and WOW! It’s like day and night.. very happy the course grew some grass and cleaned up.. can’t wait to come back and play it again.. I recommend 🤘🏼
Fairway grass way too long
Used to be a pretty good course, the greens are still good, but the fairway grass has been left to grow to the point it's like other courses' roughs. There is no reward when you drive to the middle of the fairway, you can't even use a fairway wood properly for any fairway shots.
Terrible round
I've played this course many times with friends and have generally had a good time. Not today. The greens were sanded and the fairways were absolutely terrible. I've never seen this course in such terrible condition.
Caught a nice day between rains.
Played with 3 nice fellows my grandsons age. The mountain vistas were beautiful and the weather was perfect. Had a nice round.
Slow
Course was in good condition with the recent rain but the layout created the worst backlog on the front 9 I have ever seen. At one point we had 4 groups (16 people) waiting to tee off on the 7th hole. Took us 2 hours and 40 minutes to get through the front 9.
Really good grass, mostly
Really good coverage mostly, decent grass to hit off of. Yes there are some bare spots of course but overall most of the course has really good grass coverage now and is fun to play again.
The greens are a bit damaged, bumpy with weird patches, but the place is obviously putting the work in to roll them out to flatten and smooth as much as possible so they are quicker than most and are good enough to make putts.
Overall it’s in much better shape than most Munis, especially when compared to LA City.
However, I just don’t understand how they can charge so much for crappy range balls. It’s just not right.
Pace of play was horrible
Because there was a tournament, there was no cart available at the time of checking in. understandable.
However, the pace of play was horrible. It took about 6 hours to finish 18 holes on that day after dark.... 6 hours...
I am never going back there again.
Don’t play
Slow play they definitely over booked this course. There was a wait on every hole. Save your money play somewhere else.
