Gilbertsville Golf Club is a public, 27-hole layout in New Hanover Township. The holes are divided into three different nines called the Red, White, and Blue. The nines sprawl across the rolling hills of Montgomery County, which is most apparent on the most challenging of the three, the Blue Course. The Red and White, the club's original 18 holes, have a more traditional layout while the Blue Nine, which was added 30 years later, is more modern with rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. Surprisingly the Blue is the shortest of the three golf courses but it feels longer due to the constant up-and-down. Golfers will encounter a number of tricky lies on this nine and there is also water coming into play on nearly every hole.

Made a few craters on the greens and happily used the repair tool. Unfortunately choked on my few birdie putts. Photo submitted by u000007953538 on 11/18/2013

Goodbye Gilbertsville golf club
It is goodbye to this golf course one way or another for me. I will never play here again due to the very poor conditions. I do hope that the buyer of this course obtains their approvals from the township and puts a bulldozer to this club. It is sad to see a once beautiful club in a run down condition yesterday.

Meh
Played Red-Blue on a weekday morning with a friend. The other reviews complaining about the bunkers are 100% correct, they are the worst of any public course in Montgomery county. Most were either full of water or full of rocks and weeds. I know this course is probably getting turned into a housing development soon so I don’t expect anything will be done to fix the bunkers in the meantime. I hadn’t played this in many years but I remembered the property doesn’t seem to drain well after rain and usually plays wet, that hasn’t changed. Fairways and rough were in good condition, however, just very wet with muddy areas in the rough. Greens were average public course speed but had a lot of weird breaks near the hole. Layout is pretty easy and nothing really memorable other than maybe hole 9 on red.
The big positive was that we got out ahead of what appeared to be a very large league of old guys and we flew around in less than 3 hours on a weekday morning. With so many other golf options around Gilbertsville, not much reason to play this course.

Enter SAND-MAN
This be short..fairways alright, tees OK, greens mostly fine, but a few in poor shape....BUT FOR GOD'S SAKE..THIS IS A GOLF COURSE!!! A GOLF COURSE HAS "SAND TRAPS:...NOT BIG GIANT HOLES WOTH STONES AND HARDENED MUD!..These were the worst traps I have ever seen, and there is NO sand, man. If you do play, do not attempt to try and play out of them or you may break your arm, or ruin you club. Or call Dr. Strange, as this is the MULTI TRAPS OF MADNESS!..

We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. Thank you for playing White at Gilbertsville Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Rapidly Deteriorating
I have played this course for many years. It is in the worst condition I have ever seen it. The course is apparently in the process of being sold to a developer who will demolish the course and build a couple hundred houses there subject to approval by the Township. The owner, who has obviously not put any money into improving the course in several years, now has no incentive whatsoever to put any money into the course. Yes, as mentioned in a previous review, the bunkers are filled with rocks and have large, deep holes in them. They have been untouched for at least the past five years. You cannot play out of them. The cart paths appear to have been attacked by missile carrying drones. The greens were soft and slow. The greenskeeper has done an amazing job just to keep the course, especially the fairways, which have always been among the best in the area, playable. I can't think of a good reason to play here.

very nice
We played red to blue. The pace was nice for a Friday morning. A good challenge but also not too tough for the novice. The only complaint was no yardage markers or bushes. Of the 3 of us to play we only found one marker, a sprinkler head in the middle of the fairway on #9 blue. Thats it! If my friend did not have a yardage binoculars we would have been completely lost. Other than that the staff including a groundskeeper were extremely courteous and welcoming. We will play again. Thanks
Great Golf Day
Very friendly staff. Never lost a ball. Well maintained grounds.
Soggy round
Can't blame the course for not draining well but they should refer to the traps as water hazards and cart paths as off-roading trails.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting White at Gilbertsville Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
My mother was a mudder
Came from on the coast in Jersey and didn't realize they had snow there just two days earlier. 90 percent of it melted but it was SLOPPY!!! No fault of the courses but was playing a little longer than usual and lots of mud balls, which i used lift clean and place of course! Pace of play good - four hours - and it was crowded with mostly old guys. $23 can't beat that. Played red and blue. Fun little course.
Sand traps had no sand and were beginning to grow grass in what were the trap areas. Other than that it is a nice course in pretty good shape
Hello! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing White at Gilbertsville Golf Club.
