Greencastle Golf Club
About
Greencastle Golf Club covers more than 200 acres of lush, rolling countryside studded with mature trees and tranquil ponds. The winding layout has many doglegs and incorporates a variety of elevation changes. Golfers should be prepared for a fair amount of blind shots as well as uneven lies. The spacious golf course has several holes that will please long hitters, but this layout will test your accuracy and course-management skills too. Water comes into play most memorably on Greencastle's signature third hole where there is a man-made waterfall and fountain but the par-4 10th is the toughest. This hole has an island green that is cut in half by a large drop in elevation, a good test for the two following holes which are not any less challenging.

Challenging course, but fair
This was the first time I played the course and I was glad to have played with friends who knew the lay out. There are many blind shots off of the tee box so you really need to make sure you get a yardage book. I will play the course again and recommend it to others.
The course has great views and nice layout. Has signature holes.
The course is well maintained with beautiful greens.
Awesome, great course, employees and value! Highly recommend
Arrived on an extremely rainy day and the course was closed. The guys inside let us come the following day using my golfnow reservation. For the amount of rain that came down, the course was surprisingly dry, especially the greens. Played in early March, so I was surprised how well the course did over the winter. I can only imagine it being superb under ideal weather conditions. Not sure if you can walk the course, but would not advise it. Its is long, and there are some good treks between green and following tee boxes. Highly recommend!!
For November play, very enjoyable day and conditions.
Fairways were in very good shape. Greens were a little slow due to time of year but in good condition. Played well so it
was a good experience. Upgraded cart paths were a plus also.
A WORK IN PROGRESS
It was a welcomed surprise that the course was in as great a shape is it was for this time of year... They have done a lot of work to it this year and it shows... Go play it and have a blast...
Greens were a bit rough.
The greens had recently been aerated and were still a little sandy. I'm not terribly sensitive to that. My problem was that the greens were badly in need of a cut. Combine the two issues and it made putting a a roll of the dice. Fairways were in excellent shape. The rough was a bit long and we spent extra time to find balls that should have been in plain sight. Still, the course played fast and looked nice. I've played there several times and this is the first problem I've had, so it's still a course I recommend.
Nice Course
Great Golf course Tees.Fairways and Greens always in great shape.
Best greens I've played on all year!
A challenging layout, In really good condition. I've played over 15 different courses this year and the putting surfaces at Greencastle Greens are the best I've putted on all year.
Booked on golfnow for a special proce
Booked online for a cheaper price, got to the course and they dis not acknowldge that the price listed on golfnow.com. Unpleased with the staff at greencastle greens. Wouldnt recommend booking tee times there
long rounds 4/12 -5 1/2
if you don't mine slow play nice course to play. no marshell to move slow players. never crowded but slow play.
Unbeatable for the price
Played in 3.5 hrs. Course is great shape. Super teetime rate for such early tee time.
Nice Course and Bring Your Own Beer
The course is a fun design. It would be a super nice course if they had the money to maintain it like a country club. The greens and fairways are kept nice. The tee boxes could be in slightly better shape, but nothing really wrong with them either. It's fun to play. Not very long, a lot of risk/reward opportunities, undulating greens, and great scenery. It is also bring your own beer. If you drink a few beers or what not, this makes the round a lot cheaper.
We'll be back.
