Good course
a golfnow deal is a must for Pine Grove. the yardage on hole map is a big help
Beautiful course, plenty of challenges
Found a round here on golfnow for $12 at 11:30 on a friday so I wasn't expecting much but this course is beautiful and in great condition but very challenging! I usually shoot mid 80's low 90's but after finishing with a 10 on hole one I struggled my way to a 105 with about 15 penalty strokes, lots of woods, water and OB but wouldn't hesitate to return!
course was in good shape --played in under 3 1/2 hours
like all the water on course makes you think about next shot--makes you play position--
We would definitely come back!
This was our first time playing Pine Grove, we were from out of the area and arrived 1 hour earlier than scheduled. Staff was very accommodating, we started in 15 minutes the play was steady, course was in great condition, the fairways were very well manicured. We really enjoyed the picturesque course, it had a good mix of short and long holes, we would definitely come back.
pleasant round
This was our first time for BOTH using GolfNow and also golfing at Pine Grove. Both experiences we're great, we got a wonderful rate for 18 and a cart. And since we were unfamiliar with the area a arrived 1 hour early for our tee time. The starter was very accommodating to us and we got off early. It was a well kept course, trimmed fairways, and fast trimmed greens. Overall it was a great experience, we would definitely come back!
great day for golf
course was in great shape definetly amust play if you're in the area
Worth the trip
Course in good shape considering plenty of recent rain. Seemed to play longer than the listed 5911 yards. Two 200 yard par 3's reinforce that impression. $20 golfnow.com price made it worth the trip from Pittsburgh.
good course for all
course is grate not much for seniors but good for women fun to play.
Nice course - staff not friendly
Lady behind the counter was not very friendly - almost appeared, that she was upset that we booked on Golf Now and saved money. Course was in good condition, greens were very fast. Water holes were quite challenging. Slow pay by group in front of us (two walking) caused us to get rained out on last hole. Would recommend making carts mandatory on weekend mornings.
lots of water holes
The course was very fun to play. The back 9 is more interesting with the water. The greens were a little slow but overall it was a good course.
Nice Track
Very nice golf course that's a lot of fun to play!
grest coarce to practice or take wife
The people seem too treat golf now customers different than regulars in a bad way, no one there too tee off and made us wait till tee time. The carts are old no protection in them from weather, no wndshield or club covers. Got caught in rain cause of the wait .
Great course
This course is a long ride from Pgh. It is well worth the time and money. Planning on playing it again this summer
good friday
Greens were aerated, and parts of the fairways and rough were very soft (drives/irons plugging). Other than that course was in very good condition with the weather we've had. Took about 4.5 hours but that was expected for a busy day and likely the first time out for most.
Condition of course
Pine Grove is a very nice course to play.I 've played it a few times amd always found it in bery good shape..You see the ground crew working. The staff is very nice
The greens have always been in very good condition.A good test for most players.
I'd recommend it highly.
Great Course
Friendly Staff and well maintained! I would go back for sure, and very close to the college!
It had too many rough areas to make it pleasureable.
Very rough tee boxes. Upside down saucer shaped greens made it difficult to hold a well struck shot although the greens themselves were in excellent condition and very fast
Nioce Layout..
Great shape,Everything was very well maintained. The bunkers were raked. Greens big and fast but true. Not one bad thing to say about the course.Nicest course played all year. out of 20 or more courses. Only thing minor maintence around the course, but did not interfere with play.
Love the layout and the course. Greens were in great shape.
We always enjoy playing Pine Grove. The greens were fast and in great condition. The course seems to challenge us every time we golf there. Fairways were not as plush as usual, but they may have been aerated recently. We still had a great time and enjoyed the course.
Relatively flat in Western PA; could it actually be???
Nice course, very flat for Western PA. Fairways were a little spotty in some places, but all in all, good shape. Greens were very soft, but still rolled pretty fast. Golfed early and the clubhouse gave us keys for cart and simply asked us to stop back in and pay when done.
