Golf Club at Felicita

This course used to be one of the finest around - each hole a scene of utter beauty. I dont know what happened over the past 2 years, but the course is in TERRIBLE condition. Fairways are half grass, half hardpan and what grass IS there hasnt been cut in weeks. Traps havent been tilled in at least that long. Weeds growing up thru the hard, unplayable sand. Teeboxes were scattered with debris and all hacked up. The greens were the best part of the course but I'd still only give them a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. I will never play or even suggest this course again.

This course must get attention or it won't be fit to play in 2014.

This Course was a total mess. Tee boxes and Fairways were patchy. Bunkers had only a thin layer of sand and extremely unfair. Greens were in fair condition.

Save your money and play elsewhere.

The fairways and tee boxes are in terrible condition, however the greens are as good as any course I've played on.

I used to work at this course and it was one of the nicest in the area to play. When any of us hit our ball in the fairway we had to make a rule that you could place your ball on a piece of grass, that is how poorly it has been maintained. The tee boxes are full of mud and there is no traction. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, UNLESS YOU ARE PLAYING FOR UNDER 15$ STAY AWAY!!!

Fairways and tee boxes were well below average. Most of the greens need some attention and were not in good shape. The bunkers looked as if they were not attended to in several days and were solid. No refreshments or water on the course. I am glad that I paid a deep discount rate otherwise I would have asked for money back.

Fairways and tees are mostly grass less ! At least it was cheap to play there! Greens are still in good shape, but the fairways and tees are in rough shape! It's a shame three years ago this course was a great place to play!

Gollf Now should consider taking this off of their courses to play. Fairways were in unacceptable conditions. Greens had brown marks spread over them. Real tragedy use to be one of the nicest courses in the Harrisburg area.

At one time, his course was probably a gem. Now, however, the Ownership needs to put some money into restoration and maintenance. None of the bunkers had sand that one could hit out of. All of the fairways were such that you couldn't tell the difference between the fairways and the first and second cut. If it wasn't for the crabgrass, the fairwas would not be green. Yardage markers are almost non-existant, and there are no lateral/OB/Hazard markers anywhere on the course
It really is a shame, because this course, being a mountain course, has very interesting layout of many of the holes.
VERY DISAPPOINTED.

This course would be an absolute gem for avid golfers who like to be challenged once it gets to golf shape. Very tight course requires accurate shots and discipline. Fairways were badly damaged but in fairness in process of being done. The rough is almost unplayable and you will surely pay for poor shots. Greens were close to perfect and bunkers were immaculate. Nice staff and very great views on course. Would go back or recomend maybe next season.

The fairways honestly had me and my golf partner wondering if we were in a swamp, rough, mud, maybe.... The fairway??? Rough on some holes was mowed and piles of clippings lined the rough. Tee boxes were made of sand with no grass to be seen on some holes. Greens on the other hand were soft and in good condition. To the courses credit they did tell us they killed some grass in order to reseed. Overall course conditions were poor, but the layout was fun and the staff was pleasant.

Tough tight track- to score well you need the keep the ball straight -if that means a 7-iron off the tee, then so be it.

Beautiful course in the mountains -leave the driver in the bag!- otherwise you will lose some golf balls.

Course needed care in the fairway -it was drying up bad-greens were slow as well-played the course in mid August -it's a shame because I played this course back in May and it was in much better shape.-staff is nice -course is really spread out-would be brutal to walk

At one time in the area, this course was considered one of the most pristine tracks around. Although the mountain side views and vistas will always be there to enjoy, the condition of the course has been left to (all but) die. Fairways are as much dirt as they are grass (only in clumps). Tee boxes are as much sand as they are grass (also only in clumps). Greens are bordered by as much crab grass as they are servicable grass. Shrubs and landscaping have become overgrown. Just a horrific case of neglect to what was once a proud golf destination.

Played here 2 years ago, loved the layout so I wanted to go back. Mistake! The conditions were atrocious. I know we had some rain, but there was barely grass in the fairways. None on the tee boxes, and the greens were heavily pitted from ball marks. Not even worth the discounted rate I got on golf now. I left after 9 that's how bad it was.

I played this course many times and the conditioning was always spectacular. Something has changed drastically. I wouldn't play here again until I hear that they made improvements. It's a great layout but challenging because it is a mountain course. I hope they get their troubles worked out.

Huge portions of bare fairway in high traffic areas. The greens were very slow and were not true. More than half of the cups were filled with water.

Very sad. They used to keep it in good shape. I have played the course once per year for the past five years. Fairways do not have brown grass, they have brown dirt. It seems like they've completely let the course go. When I first played there in 2009, the course was in pristine shape and it cost $60. I guess I should have been suspicious when I got a tee time for $22, My partner hit into a green side bunker and called me for a ruling. When I got to him, I saw that the bunker was full of large rocks with tiny traces of sand. There wasn't even a small spot of sand in the trap where he could place his ball and not strike a large rock. As well left 18, we said goodbye to Felicita.

The course is currently in terrible condition. They actually had a sign out that said do to some kind of chemical reason ( they explained the reason), the course had many spots that would be brown. They said although the course might not look as green as other courses in the area, the play will be similar. This was not true, the fairways were brown and while you could tell it wasn't burnt grass, it didn't matter. We were essentially hitting off dirt out of the middle of the fairway. There were not just a few brown spots either, it was every single fairway and the majority of each fairway was brown. You were better off hitting out of the rough in most cases so you actually had grass under your ball. This course was in the worst condition of any course I have ever played.
