Sloped Greens and Uneven Lies
This course tests your ability to play on Uphill/downhill/sidehill lies on almost every shot. The greens are almost all sloped a\nd most are not very big. They allowed the grass to grow on almost all the sand bunkers except the ones I hit into. The sand was pretty firm in those that remain. The fringe guards the greens and is more of a barrier than a transition from rough to green.
Hello, bartman1155. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Start on ANY hole
We tee off at 0700 in the am. The pro shop gave us the first cart out of the storage area. On hole #7 there were 4 walkers that started off the 4th hole. NP they let us right through. On hole 15 we see 2 carts up by the green with four guys putting. It felt like carts were coming out of the woods and started on any hole.
The course is decent. Greens well groomed. There are numerous areas where a helmet is needed as the greens/greens or tees/greens are very close together. Overall I would NOT spend more than $25 to play here.
Great day on the links. Staff was outstanding. Coarse was aerated and greens were rough but a great day
Great for the money
Nice course. Well maintained considering the wet weather.
only the greens are worth the visit
unless you like playing above or below your feet on every shot stay away from this goatpath. Tee boxes are horrible from the white tees. Blue much better.
The course was very nice. I liked the lay out especially the finishing hole. The gentlemen running the pro shop was very pleasant and helpful!
This course is a great value & fun to play.
Live in Orlando and play there twice a week. This course was a lot of fun. Just as nice as courses there, but a little more scenic. Greens were nice and fast. Fairways were tough...a lot of angles but had fairly nice grass. Other players lived in Johnstown for fifty years and never heard of the course until I found it on Golf Now!!! Staff was very nice and courteous. Will be back!!
We played this course on Saturday, July 2, 2016. We found the course to be in great shape. The fairways were well manicured. The greens were in excellent shape and very fast. The course has some interesting and challenging holes. We enjoyed the challenge and we are playing it again today on July 3, 2016. You would not be disappointed with the conditions if you play it but expect that it is not a flat course and some of the holes have side hill, uphill, and downhill lies depending on your tee shots and doglegs. They are not extreme though. The course is pretty much wide open on most holes. This course has hosted the Pennsylvania State Veterans of Foreign Wars tournament for many years.
Indian Springs 9/20/15
Good: The weather, the hamburger, the greens, the kind cashier came out to us after 9 with the money she had charged my 3 companions, even though she knew we were prepaid with GolfNow.
Bad: Tee off boxes were all under construction. Poor grass on the majority of fairways, basically all fairways were slanting left or right so it was near impossible to get a clean second shot on any hole, the holes or clusters so tightly together so at one spot there were 4 tee off boxes in the same spot.
wife and I played on a sunday and the pace of play was pretty good. greens were in very good shape. the fairways were dry but it is summer.
