nice course
Redoing the pro shop .Couse was nice. My pet peeve with young golfers you should not play the back tees unless you a single digit handicap. Went to another course today same thing. Play the appropriate tees people.
A Donald Ross Gem
What a great track and design! Not at all long but strategy is key on every shot because approaches to greens are if tantamount importance as they are devilishly sloped with false fronts, domed and slick.. To have this public Donald Ross track in SE PA is such a gift! Work is being done on tee boxes in about 4-5 holes and this will enhance playability in the coming months. Cart paths are disintegrating everywhere so walking is a better option to fully appreciate the wonderful design by Mr. Ross. This course is tough, with the greens being it's biggest defense and will serve up some humble pie to you, but you'll love it!
It’s early and work is being gone at the course
With that said, expect parking issues, infrastructure issues and a course not in the best of shape. Greens are bumpy and haven’t been rolled, fairways need grooming. It’s early in the season so some of this is to be expected.... just recognize it’s there.
Tough Course, Decent Shape
I played here on a weekday in late March. It was fairly challenging for a high handicapper like myself. The first hall was very difficult, as a good tee shot can land you in a sand trap in the middle of the green.
Many of the holes required accurate shot placement as well. Overall it was a good course to play despite the challenges. There is a very small temporary Pro Shop, as renovations to a new facility are being worked on.. there are really no other amenities available unfortunately during this time. Despite all of this I would definitely return, as you get to use every club in the bag. Also, the rates are very reasonable.
Who needs St Andrew’s(Scottish) or any other link courses when you can play here . Private club vibes ~ in the good way~
Lil cloudy some sun & wind can make or break your round. Remember when to club up or club down on uphill or downhill tee shots. Best part: i caught a “hot deal” for 23$ and i had a 10$ promo card from always rounding up the change to charity.
Maybe that’s why’s i enjoyed it or maybe it’s just a beautiful track. ***Under construction building new club house.***

This has become the municipal course and maybe the best public course. This is my first choice of courses to play but tee times are hard to get for a weekend golfer.
Course in great shape, couple holes were cart path only, not sure why as they seemed dry. Greens in great shape and pin settings were challenging. Finished round in just under 5 hrs. Little slow play based on not crowded. Definitely enjoy course.
