Good for what it is
Abington is good if you need to scratch the golf itch but only have 2 hours. The course is small and short, but the greens are small and fast, which makes it more challenging than it appears. Short game can be tough as you need to control for the fast greens and the extreme slopes – it's easy to putt / chip off the green.
It's mostly par 3s with some par 4s sprinkled in, so you can practice accuracy with approach shots.
Currently, hole 3 is a stand in hole with a "green" that's a circle spray painted at 150 yards in the fairway with a cup / flag in the middle. Not sure how long it will be until that's resolved.
Pace of play can vary drastically. Sometimes, members will play solo and play multiple balls on each hole. Other days there's no one around and it's super quick and calm.
The course overall isn't maintained that well. Tee boxes aren't great. Sand traps have lots of little pebbles.
But if you accept the course for what it is, you can get a lot of joy from playing it with some friends, or as a solo practice.
Don’t be skeptical
Do yourself a favor and give this course a shot. Excellent 9 hole to help workout your irons. Very enjoyable taking beginners here as they won’t feel overwhelmed! The owners and staff are second to none and the Restaurant/ Bar 1910 is fantastic, make sure you stay for your post game lunch!
Worst Ever
I’ve played on a lot of golf courses from world class to 9 hole munis. The Abington Club course is by far the worst course I’ve ever played. Tee boxes are nearly all dirt. Fairways — what fairways? All weeds, dirt and occasional patches of grass. Sand traps are dirt with stones and pebbles. I hate to be so negative because I just moved to the area and was looking for somewhere close by where I could play occasionally while deciding whether or not to plunk done thousands on a country club. Won’t be back.

In fairness I was two holes into playing and a thunderstorm hit delaying the game. Afterwards course was ver wet. I do t think the holes are marked very well.
Fun short course.
Challenging course. Some water, average bunkers surrounding holes, some marshes. Definitely rent a powered cart as there are steep up and down fairways.
I only gave it 3 stars as I tired rather quickly from walking the course
Some of the greens also were not in good shape.
Getting better
Since months ago it's not as bad. Some green rough but better then last year. Good place to work on wedges
Abington
It is only a 9-hole , par 32, 4k yard course, but it does have a couple of bunkers on each hole to make it interesting. It also has a few holes with marshy waste land that forces you to play the hole strategically; lay it up, or go for broke. Generally speaking, the fairways were fairly tight, so accuracy off the tee was critical.
Unfortunately, the course was not in great shape. The greens were pock-marked and the tee boxes were chewed up. I never hit into any of the bunkers, but they looked pretty hard packed.
If the greens were in better shape, it would have made it more enjoyable.
Bees
A lot of bees. A lot of groundsmen working everyday. But good course. Nice short game
Worth $10.00, no more
