Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Great greens
The greens were rolling at moderate pace and in good condition. Fairways were good. Hole #3 is challenging with right dogleg and pond to carry in front of green. The pace of play was good.
Enjoyable course to play for all types of players.
Tee Boxes are horrible
Had not played here for two years and I was surprised at how they had not improved ghe tee boxes. Boxes were not defined and very rough and uneven.
Kimberton Golf Club
Course was in very good shape. Greens were very good for playing in March. Will go back to play again for sure.
Fast greens
Kimberton is an interesting course. Initially, the course looks fairly easy. Mostly level fairways, not too many hazards and wide open. Then you get to the greens. Most of these greens were lightning fast. I’m not complaining but I didn’t expect such speed on the greens at this course. So, just beware. Overall, a fun little golf course!
Very Basic Track
First time playing this track and it was just average. None of the holes were memorable. Very flat terrain. Some water holes. Like I say, nothing remarkable or memorable. The greens were surprisingly in very nice shape, albeit 100% frozen as it is winter here in the Philadelphia area.
Great Spring Golf
Green trus and maybe a bit hard. Tee boxes and fairways in great shape as are the bunker-now if we can only get golfers to rake them after use! Great weekday round.
Open course
This course is so open and for being off season kept up with pretty well. Staff is super friendly. Was a little confusing finding the clubhouse on our first visit but after that we were fine. Only thing I would complain about is we had a 11:42am tee time and could only walk which was fine. But my buddy lost one of his club covers and when we got back to the clubhouse to let them know it was locked, lights turned off and no one around, it was just before 4pm.
Kimberton golf course.
The course was in good shape.. The pro shop could have been more professional. But overall it was a nice fun day of golf.
Kimberton
Course has potential to be great but seemed like a free for all. No starter, groups with 4-6 people, groups yelling and screaming etc. for 25-30 bucks not bad but I’d like to tee off without people screaming in the background
Can’t book as a single
Really stupid they don’t let you book as a single. They can easily just pair you up with other people.
Our apologies for this policy. We strive to accommodate all players, singles included. We do our best to pair singles up with the first available group. Booking a single into a group of 2 or 3 was causing problems when those groups were arriving with 4 which leaves the single without a time. Our typical wait time for a single to be paired up is about 15 minutes.
Great
Great course and in excellent condition. Staff friendly and will be back to play again
Mr Allen
Great course and friendly staff. Great condition as wel
Thank you Mr. Allen for your great review! We've been putting so much energy and money back into our families historic golf course... we love hearing players are enjoying it as much as we are!
Very sorry about your experience at the club today. We had a group event that has been asked to not return due to their behavior. It was unfortunate for other players, our staff and completely out of line with the expectations and experience we strive for. Please reach out to me directly @Jimmymaack@gmail.com and I will gladly extend you some passes to come out again and hopefully show you the kind of experience we are truly known for! Thank you and happy golfing
