Nice design, lacks key features
Overall, Berkleigh was not as impressive as I was led to believe it was. Some holes certainly provided ample challenge, but greens were pretty slow and extremely soft. Most bunkers were flooded as well, but perhaps all of this was due to rain in the previous few days. Fairways and 1st-cut rough played nicely, but few holes were provided bumpy cart paths, meaning large portions of rough heading toward the green were butchered by moving carts. Our pace of play was excellent, and we managed to finish our round in about 4 hours and 15 minutes.
Well worth the trip
We traveled about 40 mins to play Berkleigh and finished the round in 3 hrs, 15 mins. Greens were immaculate and its only mid-March. Friendly staff, good driving range. Nothing but positives with Berkleigh.
lovely walk
I grabbed a 3:30pm tee time that was for "walking only," and I was one of the only people on the course. I think it was walking only at that time because they want to get the carts in the barn at a certain time. That is fine with me, because with the time change, I was able to enjoy a great walk on a lovely evening. Greens are small and putt great. There is a stream that you sometimes don't see that meanders through the course. Nice stop if you are nearby, Kutztown, Allentown, area.
Winter golf
I played the Day after Christmas and the weather was fine and the course was still in great condition!!
Almost perfect
60 degree weather in November made a pretty good day to play golf. The course was in really good shape and the best part was the bunkers were exactly what bunkers should look like and feel. Other courses in our area need to get some help from Berkleigh.
Nice Course
Nice course, good condition. Nice staff, very friendly.
Fall Ball
The greens were freshly aerated and sanded, it’s that time of year.
The fairways are tight and the rough is thick and lust it will eat up your balls.
Great conditions, really enjoyed the round
The course was in perfect condition, the greens were quick and soft which allowed direct shots to the green. Rough was a tad high but ok. Took a small amount of time to look for mis hit balls. Would recommend highly.
Fun Day
Really enjoy this course, fun layout and all grass is in good condition. I wish they would spend some money on the cart paths. Most of them are in really bad shape.
