Not Golfnow friendly
I'm a 57 yr old man always looking for a bargain. My kids wanted to take me golfing for Fathers Day, so I booked a course close to home with the golfnow app. Three of us total in group. Obviously I needed 2 carts. They only wanted to give me 1 cart and have one of my kids ride with a stranger. I objected but they were adamant about it. There reasoning for this was because I booked with Golfnow. I said I paid for 2 carts and I'll get 2 gets. Finally, they relented. If they aren't happy with the agreement with Golfnow, then don't use them. Otherwise, you need to treat all customers the same. This course is not worth the price they want for a round.
Very accessible and playable course
Nice golf course and layout
Stay out of the trees
If you hit your ball straight you shouldn't have to many problems.
Pace of play
Overall course was in good shape. Sick and tired of the pace of play here in Pennsylvania. Get a course Marshall to control such an easy problem. We are all playing and deserve to have fun and a five hour round is not fun.
big changes
With dozens of trees gone, it's not exactly the same as last year. But staff says it's part of a course remodeling to replace trees with other challenges. good course to start the year off on, more open, for now.
Course was fun for very casual players
Picked a cool Fall day to play this course. Monday was not a very busy day so we were not pushed to get done, allowed two faster groups to play thru, so my playing partner and I could enjoy our pace. Since neither of us play often, this type of course made it fun.
bad everything
Horrible course conditions. Greens are basically sand.no maintenence done too course.nothing in pro shop. Snack bar has basically low selection for high price. No Marshall. So basically wait 15 too 20 minutes too start each hole because of people taking mire than enough time playing.
Nice Round
Played on a Saturday in October, course was in good condition. If you don't hit it Straight you can be in the trees looking under leaves for your ball (Fall Ball). Pace of play was slow because of a few senior golfers that wouldn't use the correct Tee Box for their ability, but It was a nice round overall. I will look to play this course again in 2016.
good course
great course, they serve alcohol, big plus. Always a good time.
fairways need attention and a new course marshall
Most of the fairways need work, very patchy and dirty. The course marshall is supposed to keep pace going but instead just drives around and doesnt do or say anything. There was a slow group of 2 holding lots of people up and marshall did not say anything to them after aknowledging or frustration. It is a senior citizen hay day and we didnt end up finishing because it was taking too long to get around all the slower seniors. Our tee time was at 130pm so it wasnt a normal busy time either.
Really Nice Municipal Course
Overall I would recommend this course based on condition and quality of layout! Don't be fooled by the scorecard .... Four Seasons is not a long course on the card but has a series of very stiff par fours and some challenging par threes within it's 6300 yard longest tees!
The course is well tree lined but landing areas are generous enough unless you are pretty crooked off the tee. There is both intermediate as well as primary rough that will challenge your next effort!
It had rained the nite prior to my round so the greens were a bit soft. The fairways are well maintained but your lies will be fairly tight.
My only knock here was that there is NO ONE that monitors tee times or pace of play. I was lucky to join up with a twosome ahead of me but in all our round took 4:45 and that just spoiled an otherwise nice round with good company. The course is just not that hard to take more than maybe 3:30 playing time and Im fairly certain I could have gotten around in about 2:30 on my own.
But in fairness this is one of the nicer municipal layouts I haver played all year!
Tight
Tf you hit it straight you can score. Tree lined course with a lot of mature trees. The par 4's are a mix of long and short. Some very good par 3's. New greenskeeper is doing a very good job with conditions.
Green in Great Shape!
Very nice, great conditions, good bang for the buck!
Better be straight off the tee
Lots of trees on left and right of fairways - although balls are easy to locate and get back in play. on semi-complaint was the kitchen was a tad slow on the turn. May have been short handed that day, special was good. good cigars and tall ice cold beers!!
Great Public Course
For the money, this is my favorite local public course. Over the past couple of years, it's obvious that the owners have put a lot of money into course improvement. In the past, I would have said this was a very average public course. But many improvements have been and continue to be made and it's now at the top of the list of my local courses.
Greens are excellent, fairways are challenging but fair (no pun intended), overall course look is immaculate. Even the new carts are the best golf carts I've EVER used.
Again, this is now at the top of my list of local courses. They participate in GolfNow deals, and the staff are really friendly as well.
Highly recommend!
Good practice course
Very flat and straightforward greens always in Great condition. Great course to hone in your distances because there is relatively no elevation change. 6400 yard part 70 plays pretty long, even though a few holes are really short. Good amount of trees just off the left and right side of every hole make for a frustrating round if you are not hitting fairways. Not the most fun course to play... there really are not any scenic or signature holes but is def the best course in the Lancaster area to dial in your game. Seems like a good course for beginners and elderly because most greens are not protected in the front.
Great Course, No Ammenities
The course was nice and open, very forgiving for the casual golfer. It is a dry course, so no alcoholic beverages, very big downside for my type of golf. The staff was friendly, the pace was perfect, but no bathroom throughout and, water stations were empty or very warm. I may go back if I'm playing alone or just looking to improve my game, but not for a group play.
A Great Track - Well Maintained
Got a chance to play Four Seasons while in town for the weekend visiting family. We enjoyed the round so much we came back the next day. Tee box to green the course was in great condition. Tee boxes were level and well maintained; fairways were cut tight and produced big forward bounces; the rough was thick and the ball sat down making it necessary to hit the fairway. Bunkers were all in great condition. Only two par 5s (par 70 course) Wish there were four. Overall a great experience.
nice greens
4 seasons is a pretty nice course with some long par 4's to test your driving abilities. then there are a few short par 5's so it evens things out. greens have recovered from one month ago and putt true. sand is quite fluffy and not so easy to hit out of. overall 4 stars
