Country Club of the Poconos Municipal Golf Course

Greens were in excellent condition, especially given the time of year. Tee-boxes were a bit beat up, rough was overgrown, and fairways were OK. For a muni course I was happy with the experience and would expect to visit again.

Course SCENERY, is beautiful, as any is realistically in the poconos. So you can always enjoy that. I called in the morning about green aeration, got 5 sideways answers, was told that he doesn’t play often and doesn’t know what the greens were like. I asked if anyone else had feedback, the response was I only have 4 guys that work here and it’s Sunday, no one is here. I said ok and got off the phone. Bottom line, if you’re running a pro shop, know your course. All in all green were ok, fairways pretty patchy half the time, but a good day with good company. Always love this course.
i find it very challenging and love the layout.
Still needs work. Last year it wa the greens; this year its the fairways.

we played Saturday and hte greens must have been aerated recently so there were a lot of bump, but i like that they are taking better care of the greens.
there are a lot of rough spots on the fairways but there is clearly also a lot of repair gong on.

i recommend this course, but because of the spread out layout, you can't walk and be prepared for a longer round.

If you’re not hitting straight can be unforgiving also must be able to drive fairly long on some holes to get over hazards.

Greens have improved, recently aerated, so bumpy but better than earlier this year. Fairways and tee boxes a little beat up, but for the discount price it’s no big deal. Played day after thanksgiving and had course to ourselves. Hope they stay open as it’s always a fun, quirky course that favors keeping ball in play over length. Scenery is spectacular

It's always a challenge playing a new course for the first time. I played the front 9 and liked the layout, the fairways were rough in some areas but we are in late October and no doubt this course has seen a fair amount of use.

I will absolutely play here again.

This course is spread out but so beautiful. The long distance between holes makes for a long day.
We always play here at least once a year and are never disapointed.

L9ve playing the course, back nine greens were aerated and were bumpy but love the course

A fantastic Fazio mountain course completely lined by trees with a significant amount of vertical rise/drop. Many elevated tees with gorgeous views. Conditions were sometimes hit or miss but the layout and challenge of the course made up for any minor shortcomings. An excellent value for the very reasonable greens fee. I almost always walk courses but this one is cart-only -- there are often very big distances between holes. Will definitely be back.

Hey - this place is what it is. Some really cool holes and some wacky ones . The layout is strange frankly. The pace of play is slow. All that said - it is unique and not boring. Something to be said about that!
