Disappointed
Was looking forward to getting out to play but this place over books tee times. We arrived on time for our tee time and when we got to the first hole there were 6 other groups waiting to tee off ahead of us. We didn’t have time to be at the course all day and at the rate of how things were moving we were going to tee off 30mins to an hour after we were supposed to tee off. The gentleman at the club house was very friendly and gave us a rain check to come out and get on the course another day.
Great day of golf
We play this course pretty frequently because it's only 9 holes, the pace is usually pretty good and they keep it in good shape. Not very challenging, but good for my wife who is learning. The staff are always very friendly.
Good outing
My son and I have played this course several times this year. The layout is great for beginner/intermediate players. We were able to get right out and play. Conditions were good considering it is December. Couple of groups slowed us down for the second time around, but it didn’t bother us.
Don’t underestimate this course!
After checking in with the friendly, helpful staff, drive in your quiet electric cart past the three green practice area (and home of The First Tee of Greater Charlotte), you pull up to the first tee of this 9-hole course and think “meh”. Straight, flat, and long, the First Hole looks boring. However, the rest of the course offers subtleties that challenge experienced players without giving up the playability necessary for new players. The course gets heavy play, but it holds up with good conditions and pace of play. The historic significance of the course is told with plaques on each tee. If you’re looking for an enjoyable 2-hour round convenient to Uptown Charlotte, consider Dr. Charles T. Sifford at Revolution Park.
Gem in the city
Great public course in Charlotte with areas for driving, chipping and putting and 9 holes to play
Great 9
Enjoy it so much we wanted to play another round, but they were booked solid.
Fun day of golf
I've played this course several times in the last few months. It's in very good shape. The grounds were a little harder than previous outings but it has been dry in Charlotte for several weeks. It's a good place to play for beginners and the pace of play is pretty decent.
100% worth it
My son has played there a couple times with the USGA kids, but I had never played it myself until yesterday and I absolutely loved it. It’s player friendly. It’s perfectly challenging for the weekend warrior just an all-around good time especially if you walk it.
A gem
9 hole muni is perfect. Course is in great shape. At ease players and staff. No pretentiousness. Layout is fun and at times challenging. And that par 5 leaves zero room for errors. Highly recommend
Sifford Review
I LOVE this course, it's a total gem in Charlotte. What I don't love is the fact that you have to use GolfNow app to get a tee time, and even then, they had no record of it in the pro shop or on the starter's list. It was extremely over crowded (twilight on a Sunday but still...) and there is effectively no marshall to keep things on pace. Love the course but they need to manage the course.
Great Conditions!
Greens were in a great shape! Will be back real soon for more rounds
