Punching Greens While Golfers Playing?
Unfortunately pace of play was quite slow due to them punching the greens while we were playing. We were not warned in advance of starting the round that the maintenance crew were currently on the course punching the greens. This was my first time experiencing this in 35 years of playing golf. Every other course on the planet would shut the course down for a day to punch and sand the greens!! The course was in decent shape, a half dozen tee boxes need major help…ie grass on them.
Armitage
I took the opportunity to play Armitage after several days of Rain and the course while some holes were kind of mushy or moist most of the course was in great shape and dried out. As a result of the previous rain work there weren't too many other golfers out there so my round went by fast. Given the conditions the course played and laid out very nicely. I highly recommend Armitage for play if you're in the area.
Short course but fun to play.
Decent course, decent staff, really enjoy Caddy Shack before and after the round with a good environment. Should allow rough to grow out on front 9 to make up for short par 4’s
Great 'Bonus' round in February
Perfect weather. I consider being able to play in February as a bonus. 60 degrees and very little wind. Course was in good shape for February.
Mean Staff
The Staff member was very impolite with me and my playing partner we used the same bag and took about 4 hrs to complete 18 and he began to yell at us as we got done playing saying we took way too long. I get it I wasn’t aware we could. It share bags but I feel like 4 hrs is about average it takes for people to play a round. I felt insulted by what he was mumbling afterwords and giving us a mean glare as we left. Very disappointed by this man
Always in great condition
Play here quite a bit and never disappointed. Fairways and greens are always in good condition.
Excellent shape
Couse is excellent shape for this time of the year greens are fast but roll true
Course in good shape
Course in good shape for this time of year. Only drawback is leaves. They were working on them as we played with total disregard to where ball landed or shot to be attempted. Greens were excellent!
Worth Your Time
This is a good course. A bit tighter and tons of trees. When we played the greens were like concrete. Impossible to leave a ball mark and super fast. It was very difficult to stop balls on the greens.
Great price
Very nice course well maintained the greens were nice, challenging course good time.
