Great variety of holes, but very slow play from 16 on every time.
Greens were aerated so just my bad luck as I realize it has to be done. I wish there was a way to change the very quirky #10 that make some say the course is silly as a result. Not sure if there's sufficient space (and funds!), but maybe the tee box could be at the bottom and it could be a short par 3. Maybe #11 could be lengthened into a par 4. Greens on #11 and #16 are a bit silly too. Sand trap to the right of #12 adds to slow play as you have to either walk through the trap to get to the green, or walk all the way around one end of the green. Maybe break it up into two traps. Biggest problem is the significant slow down every time from #16 tee on due to the inability to see the groups ahead. Either the next group waits too long to hit, or they end up hitting into the group ahead that they can't see. This problem affects tee shots on #16, #17, and #18, as well as second shot on #16. As for #18, from my experience, very few people ring the bell to signal it's clear ahead. If they are new and go straight down the fairway, they never see the sign or bell on the far left side. Maybe there needs to be a sign at the tee box, and/or a mirror on these holes like there is on #6.
Not their fault, but recently aerated greens.
Unexpected aerated greens are the casual golfer's worse nightmare. It affects not only putting, obviously, but approach shot and chipping too. I know it has to happen, but I just have bad luck as this one was of the few days I've been able to golf this year. Carts only on a few back nine holes was ridiculous and slows down play terribly. The length of the green sand trap right next to the cart path on12 is a very poor idea. Either everyone parks their cart and tramps through the sand up to the green (how many rake?) or they are left with walking a far distance to get to their ball on the green and then back to their cart afterwards, also slowing down play. It's the combination of little things like this that make for very long rounds on most days. What can be said about number 10? It's just a silly hole, slows down play every single time, and gives the course a bad name. Everyone laughs about it. (Here's a thought. Major course renovation, but make 10 tee at the bottom of the hill and make it a par 3. Lengthen and make 11 a par 4.) Especially with dry, hard ground, the only safe way to play16 is to hit your drive up to 17 fairway. Otherwise virtually every other drive or even second shot ends up rolling down the steep slope to the left to the water. Not sure what the solution is for 18, but hardly no one rings the bell when they are clear so that the next group can drive. It always results in the delay of someone having to drive a cart all the way up to make sure it is safe to tee off.
Great round
Wasn’t busy surprisingly because the weather was perfect.
Greens a little slow but the course was in great condition.
Awful Pace of Play
It took 4 and a half hours to get to the 12th hole. Pace of play here is always terrible and the staff does nothing about it. They need to have the starters out there keeping pace and urging the slow players to keep moving. The staff seems to not care about this issue though. They are also clearly understaffed. The same guy trying to be the starter is also trying to do 3 other jobs. The carts were in bad shape. Also, the course really wasn't in that great of shape with really bad temporary tee boxes on like 5 holes. Not worth the time and money to wait around all afternoon. Ruins the game.

They let a fivesome play in front of us. BUT actually they did not hold us up too often. Course needs rain bad.
beautiful course
Good round, great views, course was in great shape!
Great Round!
I had a great round here, course was in nice shape being in the winter. Beautiful views and fast greens.
Great
Been playing here for many years and the condition of the course right now has never been better. The greens used to be rock hard and mostly sand with little grass. Now they are green and rolled true with few imperfections. Had an enjoyable round.
