great course, needs some love
Great course but showing its age. Like a lot of golf facilities these days, reduced play means reduced revenue. Hope they are able to fix her up!
Auburn Valley
I believe they have had a rough time recovering from the winter storms but it looks like they are gaining on it. They should be all caught up in a couple more weeks.
Course needs mower maintance
Big clumps of grass left in all areas near each fairway. Very long grass
Foothill gem
Tough greens with a forgiving layout make this course a must play
conditions terrible
Girls tourney. At least 12 teams. They were not on course yet. Still wouldn’t let me on. Wanted me to wait. 1 hr at least. Range full of teams. Staff said,” call Golf Now”. Shouldn’t of utilized Golf Now with Tourney. I had to drive an hr to get there. Never return again.
Terrible service... Absolutely abysmal
We were treated so poorly today. The pro shop manager and the PGA pro were both incredibly rude. Additionally, the course was in terrible shape and the greens were absolute garbage. I would not return to this course for any reason. Take your money to The Ridge or Darkhorse once it opens back up... You’ll be much happier.
Open fairways and great upkeep
Fun course in beautiful area in auburn. Open fairways and well maintenances greens
U S open coming to Auburn Valley
Played today from the blue tees. Missed 5 fairways by 3-5 yards into the very long wet rough. Lost 3 balls just off the fairway as there is copious amounts of cut grass clumped throughout the course and the wet 4 inch rough. Miss a fairway wedge it out if you find it.
I’ve played Auburn Valley over the years and haven’t seen this before. Couple that with the normally firm sloping green complexes and a mid handicapper like me will feel like he should take 2 weeks off then quit.
Fun course with nice layout. Very good greens
Course was in pretty good condition and the greens were very nice. Back 9 is beautiful and a wonderful layout. Friendly staff and an overall good experience.
Course in great shape
The course over all in great shape, some spots a bit too soggy! The lawn mowers were still out well past 0900, which was distracting. Pace of play after 5th holes was really slow. On the back had to skip a hole, just to get around a group talking 20+ mins. per hole. Is there no Marshall?
Auburn Challenge
I am anxious to play the course again after my maiden round
The layout, especially the front nine is fair and challenging
Pretty good shape for the month of August
Fast greens and beautiful layout
Played with 3 buddies, had a great time. Greens are super-fast, very tricky. Stay below the pin! Lots of elevation change and slope-y lies. Grass driving range--nice! Only complaint is a fair number of wet, marshy patches. Very scenic course. Saw a family of bobcats on #13! Got a special--for $29 this was an awesome value.
Fast greens
Course is in the best condition I’ve seen this year. Greens were lightning fast and in great condition.
