The Inn At Pocono Manor - East Course
About
The Inn at Pocono Manor offers two championship golf courses, conveniently located less than two hours from New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. Surrounded by the beauty of the Poconos, the inn has earned a spot on the National Registry of Historic Places. George Fazio designed the West Course, and the East Course was Donald Ross' creation. The East Course, the original layout, has hosted a number of legendary players, including Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead, since 1912. Ross carefully sculpted the mountainous landscape to create a course that is both challenging and memorable. It is shorter and tighter than the other course but they are equal in level of difficulty. The golf course is defined by the interesting water hazards that come into play on several holes, but the scenic views are also a draw.

minor changes needed
great old course, some strange designed holes, but very playable.. the biggest complaint is with the senior tees. most all of them are right next to and on the same box as the ladies tees.. i play with a foursome of senior men. we dont need to be playing from the ladies tees. why dont they have a box somewhere between the white tees and the ladies.. its not like they dont have the room to put one. other than that it is still a nice place to play.
Quaint local “Resort”
Thank you Golf Now. Visited the Pocono Mountain area for a golf vacation. Had no idea what we would find. Had several suggestions but turned to Golf Now. This is a little gem, kind of rough on the outside, older facilities. But wow what a great track, well maintained, layout was friendly (lots of trees so if you are directionally challenged it is a challenge). Loved the 77 yard hole! Very few blind holes.
As quirky as it gets
Had never played here before an we gave it a try on 7/10. The setting is beautiful. As a golf course, it's something unique, strange, bizarre and unexpected. First of all, the fairways and greens are like cement. You can hit a crummy shot and when the ball comes to rest you think that it was a good shot. Par 5s become driver and 9 iron to get on in 2. There are 2 par 3s on the front where you cannot even see the green from the tee and they are short holes. Knowing where to place your shot is key here. Some of the greens are super small. This is goofy golf at it's best and if you like that kind of stuff, you will enjoy this course. For me it's not the kind of course I like where luck has more to do with the results than skill.
Love the greens.
Have played many courses in Poconos and I rate these greens the best. Fast and good roll.
Pocono courses
This course cart Paths need a little TLC other than that you can’t beat it for the price, very fast greens and fairways are in excellent shape I’ve played just about all the courses in the poconos there isn’t one that isn’t worth playing that I know of especially fort the price you can get from golf now
Pocono manor gc
Reasonable Sunday afternoon round. Pace was as expected. Course Is in good shape. Greens are tough, don't miss your putt. Very nice quiet carts. Hard working cart girl out there all day. Alot of blind shots, could use some signage or a tips sheet for those unfamiliar. Front 9 does not play back to the clubhouse so load up supplies before heading out.
Fastest greens in the Poconos
Tough but fair course with some VERY fast greens, the 77 yard par 3 7th hole is the signature hole. It’s a really good, fun track, worth playing when you’re in the area
Nice course good value
Looking forward in going back. The greens are fast, some tee boxes need work.
Cart paths are horrible some have huge potholes. If you miss right or left there is a good chance you will not find your ball. A lot of time is lost when people keeping to look for the ball .
Horrible cart paths ! Super fast greens!
First time playing this course, and the layout was nice. Most of the tee boxes were in decent shape. . Greens were super fast by just tapping the ball it flew. One thing they need to address is fixing the art paths I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I'm going back soon and play another round.
Good layout and well paced greens
Great course if you want to just go play and not have course that plays mind games with you !! There is enough to keep things interesting and the greens play well.
Nice, but could be better
We liked the over all feel of this very Traditional course. The par 3 third needs major rebuild. We heard they water at night( service company) why we saw creeks , drainage problem areas… water is available just needs to be harnessed. Yes we cost, but you did ask.
Cart Path
Terrible cart path . Some areas are so bad my wife hurt her back on the rough. Cart path. Need to spend some mo Rt and make repairs. Will not recommend this course because of the terrible path
