Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

The course was great ….. however golfnow sucks , please credit me $80 for messing up my last round
Ranger Danger
Played this course many times. Never had an issues with rangers before. We are playing in the second week of February. There are players who apparently want to play speed golf ahead of us as there were only a couple of groups ahead of us for the beginning tee times in the morning. Around the 12th hole the rangers come around and tell us we need to speed it up because there are open holes in front of us. First of all, we were wayyyy above pace. Second of all it’s golf during February and you should be happy we’re here paying our own money to to play here in the dead of winter. We finished our 18 in under 4 hours and didn’t speed up because of what the ranger asked. It’s not necessary to drive around in your cart and tell us to speed up in the middle of winter when we’re already playing at a good pace just because there are holes open in front of us. Not sure if I’ll return after seeing that today. I’ll find somewhere more accommodating and appreciates the business.
A little misleading
Paid $28 with a hot deal, cart included. Got to the course and carts were not allowed, not even on cart path only. I had to either carry or use one of their push carts. At 50 years old, I can’t carry so I opted for a push cart that may have been older than me. It had a single Velcro strap that held for about 10 yards and gave up. If you are going to make people walk, at least have functional push carts. The course was pretty empty and I did get 18 holes done in about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Good public course
Course provides the golfer with all types of challenges. Hills, water, sand and angels off the tee wil make the golfer think about placement
Pro Shop doesn't like Golf Now
Northampton is a very nice course. But apparently there is a standing order that Golf Now players will not go off before their assigned tee time.
Don't get me wrong I have no problem waiting our turn but if you are ready to go 30 minutes early and there is no one else going off that whole time what make us wait? Of course, I was reminded of that in the pro shop also. He said it at least 4 times that my Golf Now tee time was 1pm and the starter will send us off at 1pm. The whole foursome was given the same lecture upon check in. Unfortunately the pro shop there is known for there poor customer service. It is a nice course though so I will go back.
Northampton
Usually courses give players the courtesy to play early if there's no one booked ahead. There was no one in the course but the manager made us wait for an hour simply because we booked through golf now. I got the feeling they don't want us to use Golf now.
Course in better shape
Northhampton golf course Is in better shape than it has been in the past. This is the first time i've played it in two years. The grounds crews are definitely doing a better job than they have prior. As for the greens fees, without the golf now discount, I would say there are better courses with the same price in the area.
