Del-Mar Golf Course

I had 11:05am tee time. Drove 65 miles to course and was told upon arrival course closed due to excess water. I had received no phone call re: closure. No apology. Went to car, noticing several carts being loaded with clubs and one patron said course was open for an outing. I called course from car in parking lot and it went to voicemail. I expressed disappointment with lie about course being closed when it was clearly open for the outing. I requested call back from owner / manager. It’s ten days later and no call back. Incredibly poor customer relations and lousy behavior by the guy in pro shop / bar. Don’t patronize this course … it appears they are only interested in known locals.

Made a tee time online for 12:32pm today. Was charged a convenience fee to make said tee time. Called at 10:30am to make sure this course was open today. Was assured it was. I show up 5 minutes before my tee time to be told they are closed. No explanation. Yet, I. Can see 30 carts already out on the course. Unbelievable. Was sent home. This joke of a golf course has lost a customer for life. I also hope as many as possible who read this choose to golf literally anywhere else. This place is extraordinarily poorly run and never in great shape. Spend your money elsewhere.

Very nice course for its price. Most of its fairways are pretty open, but it does challenge you on a few with narrow fairways. The weather was perfect for my round so the course was in great shape. I shot my best round ever here with an 86 (I usually shoot mid to high 90's) the only problem I had was a couple, maybe 3 max, greens had dead spots on them close to the pin. But other than that I would definitely recommend this course if you are nearby. My drive was a little less than 45mins but $20 for 18 holes was definitely worth it for this course.

Very beautiful hills and valleys golf course that has a bite from the tips. Excellent condition, fun to play, staff are extremely helpful and nice. A must play !

We were told we would have to wait 1.5 hours before a golf cart would be available. We had a tee time, however all the carts were out. The staff were friendly and did give us a rain check. That is a couple hours of life/time we won't get back.

Was dry due to drought..greens were hard but rolled well.

Pace of play was exceptional! Haven’t had rain in weeks, but the course was in very good condition.

This is a very tough course, if you spray the ball. If you keep it in the fairway you can score. The fairways were in good shape and the greens were fast.There are no gimmicks on this course.The course is a throw back to to the days of straight forward golf. Do yourself a favor and play this course without improving your lie. You might be shocked what your score might be.!
