Honey Run is a great layout for decades.
Great course as usual. Wet as usual this year.
Great day. 75-80 for buddy & I. Love Honey Run.
Hi Robin, Thank you for leaving Honey Run Golf Club a 4-star rating. We're glad you liked our course. Book your next round with us soon.
This course is good old school Jim Furyk played this course and some other pro's
Pace of play is so bad 6 hours to play 17 holes we couldn't take it anymore no manegement around if u don't have 5 or 6 hours to play stay away
Hi Kim, We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars and would like to apologize for the pace of play. We hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
The greens are PERFECT
Course had a lot of damage from the recent rains. A few holes are cart path only and number 11 has been forced to play as a par 3 instead of its normal par 4 length. However the greens are in such GREAT shape you will easily overlook the wet conditions. I can wait to go back when the course dries out.
Course conditions were very good despite all of the rain the course had to endure due to recent unusual rainy season..
Course was in excellent shape even with all the recent rain. A few fairways had re-seeded areas that were roped off but the greens were as smooth and even as I have ever seen them. Staff was friendly as always. The only thing not to like about this round was my score.
Rough needed a haircut
It was cart path only since we've had so much rain. Looked like they were behind in their mowing. Just off the fairways you couldn't see your ball.
Nice course, horrible condition
Played this course after a week of heavy rain. Management should have closed the course until it dried enough to mow the fairways. Many areas of the course had standing water.
Unfortunately the course was not in tip top condition due to an incredible amount of rain during the week. Even so I had a great round and the condition was better than what could have been expected. I would love to play here again when the course dries out a bit.
longest round ever
Don't ever play this course on the weekend. 5 and 1/2 to play
Great course. Tough your first time around a few bling shots and holes that require a round or two of knowledge to play your best shots. Overall great course in fantastic shape and very good greens.
Honey Run is a great track and even though it was soggy today it still played fairly. Cart path only on several holes but no problem. Greens were smooth.
The course was very wet but understandable with all this great raining week long low we have over York, Co. I always feel Honey Run is top 2 maybe top 1 public course in the County.
A real headshaker?
I've played here for many years and always enjoyed the challenge of the layout. The course is generally in good condition and attracts golfers who are fairly accomplished. With that thought in mind, on quite a few occasions I've noticed a walker on this course quite a few times who uses a pull cart and insists on pulling his cart onto each green as he putts out. A total breach of golf etiquette. I've pointed this out to the staff several times in the past and identified the golfer but he continues to disrespect the course by pulling his cart onto the green. Either they don't care or they have told him and he ignores the warning. I guess he feels if Trump can drive a motor cart on the green he can pull his cart up there. I just can't stand to see a really nice course being abused in this manner. Speaks to the attitude of management in my opinion. SMH.
