Country View Golf Club
About
Country View Golf Club is situated just 20 minutes north of Providence and just south of the Massachusetts state line. Its convenient location in the Blackstone Valley area is easily accessible from several major highways. The course sprawls across rolling terrain with beautiful trees lining the fairways. It's a player-friendly golf course where you won't find many bunkers or water hazards. Accuracy is needed though to navigate past the many trees and the undulating terrain provides a few tricky uneven lies. Country View G.C. finishes with a tough uphill par 4. This intimidating hole has out-of-bounds to the left and trees on the right and the trouble doesn't end there. The second shot climbs uphill further to a narrow, sloping green. You can try to go long but that can make getting up and down nearly impossible, it would be safer to go short and left.

Congenial atmosphere and enjoyable course
Congenial atmosphere and enjoyable course. Was paired up with a lovely couple. A lot of blind drives. Course was in pretty good shape except that the 13th hole was like playing in the sahara - the grass hadn't quite made it up to that hole yet. Will play here again.
Not a fan
I live in MA but am frequently in Providence, so I wanted to try booking something in RI through Golfnow, and this is one of the few options available. I am not a fan of the conditions and pace of play at Triggs. The course is a simple, straightforward layout with nothing too tricky, so the course and the cost of the greens fees are definitely geared more towards beginners. I got paired up with another single at 12:24 on a Saturday. The first 5 holes were empty and we played those first 5 holes in 45 minutes. The other 13 holes took 4 hours. Brutal. The greens were in decent shape, and downhill putts could be very fast, although the overall speed of the greens was a little slow. The tees and fairways were not in great shape. The front nine is pretty straightforward and forgiving, but there were some blind shots on the back. Greens fees are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
Country View
Course was in good shape. They were adding some new tee boxes when I played. I would like to go back to tee off on them when finished. Good course...
well wotth it
shorter course, excellent for my son who has recently transitioned to full courses
Great Greens
The greens were awesome, however the tee boxes and fairways need attention. We stopped on our way home from NH to squeeze one last round and found it was deep in the country. All in all it was a good course, friendly staff and easy for my daughter.
Great greens
This is a typical muni, perhaps above average thanks to the back 9. The tees are pathetic and talking with one of the workers he said they are trying their best to bring them up to speed. The bunkers are also poor as they are rock hard and need to be played as a chip shot since you'll bounce your wedge trying to take any "sand". Fairways are ok but the greens here are what make this course. Hard yet accepting of shots, roll true, and the members generally fix their ball marks so you really have a shot when you get to the green. The front 9 is pretty pedestrian and the back is much more enjoyable as it has elevation changes and a nice mix of holes. Truly the meat of the course.
Thick grass
Course was easy to navigate. Lots of trees close on Rt side. Very thick grass. If it goes 2" in woods it's gone for good lol. Tee areas good and greens good. Fairways good approaching greens. Can play at good pace.
Hidden Gem in Northern RI
Started playing here earlier this year and keep coming back week after week now. Staff is friendly and course conditions are always great. Plenty of drainage throughout and hardly ever any standing water. Fairways are wide and greens have some good slope and speed to them no matter the pin placement or cut length. To wrap it up, I say go once and you'll be hooked!
Excellent course for the value..
This course is getting better as the weather improve
the staff are very kind and friendly .
Had a Great Day!!
Very Busy But not Over Booked. Would Definitely go again.
Great Place in Rhode Island!
This course was an unexpected, pleasant surprise! The conditions of the course were great for the deal we got on golfnow. I will definitely be coming back.
Awful conditions
I can't believe they have the audacity to charge $55 (listed $38 on website) to play a course is such disrepair
Not worth more than 22 dollars
The course had some nice spots, the water on the back nine added a nice feature. However, the sand bunker and tee boxes were terrible. There was really no true fairway, and the greens were some of the most inconsistent greens I've played. I'm glad I got a deal on the course because I could never pay 55 dollars for a course like that.
