Needs a lot. Poor choice
Quit after 9. Have never seen such slow play. Players sent off 10 in am. Turned and they had changed to 1. Fairways poor. Great greens. No organization by staff.
This Course have some small dificulties
It will be better to work in drive. The pathway and the driving way are very bad
Donald Ross Designed course.
The course was empty the day we played and it was in fantastic shape. The course is challenging yet very forgiving. One of the best in the state even if the staff in the pro shop is not very welcoming. However the staff in the clubhouse could not have been nicer.
Triggs (a Donal Ross Jewel)
The course is challenging, as Donal Ross the designer, would have wanted it to be. The course stands the test of time and rewards golfers who apply proper course management in positioning tee shots that provide the best approach shots. Greens roll great and true.
A very good course layout. Facilities could use a little work, but overall a good golf course.
I have actually played here several times over the years. The course itself is generally in very good shape for a public facility. The clubhouse and pro shop facilities could use some upgrades. Staff is generally accommodating.
Outstanding Donald Ross design
Played Triggs for the first time last week. The course was in excellent shape far beyond my expectations. All of the wonderful features found on typical Donald Ross layouts. We were a group of low handicap players that found the course to be a solid challenge from the championship tees. The Pro Shop staff was very helpful getting us started and the Clubhouse Manager, Yogi, is a piece of work. We have already set up a return tee time for next week.
Great time on the course
This Donald Ross designed course is still challenging yet par is obtainable. The 5 inches of rain was well drained and no standing water was in play.
Challenging and would definitely play again
Course was long, small greens with lots of break and isolated patches of long fescue, A lot of fun.
Worth the trip
Average as average goes. Only paid $21 for round and cart, so no complaints there. Pace of play (no ranger) could be better, and staff could smile a bit more. Was told to wait at first tee for starter, who never showed up, so I had to go out alone to beat a foursome.
I felt like I was doing them a Favor.
I haven't played Triggs in over 15 years. So planning on attending a Tourny in June I thought I'd go back and refresh my memories. From the first employee I knew I had made a mistake. The men in the pro shop are far from pro not a smile or welcome from either. Ok I came for golf. The next staff I met were the RANGERS, they could have bitten your head off for asking where the bathroom was. Ok I came for golf. Now the course is narrow with knee high rough and dribbling greens, if you like that kind of golf heres the place. Only white light was the GOLFNOW.COM price for $45 i didn't mind the lashings. Only wish I could get out of the tourny. I almost forgot they came out and took in the flags at 3:15 , ahead of us, so they wouldn't get stolen during the night. Yep ahead of playing golfers.
Poor green conditions with no notice that they had been aerated that previous day.
A decent Donald Ross layout that is relatively short from the back tees (6500ish if I remember correctly) and has some interesting holes. Unfortunately, the pace of play is extremely slow with very little ranger intervention... Mostly because the average age of the rangers is 135.
We played on a Saturday afternoon and were not notified that the greens had been aerated on Friday. Needless to say, putting was next to impossible. However, the fairways were actually in excellent condition for this early in the year.
