Slow hot deal
Our Saturday round started good, we were allowed to start 15 min early. The round took about 4 hours and 50 minutes, of which was a 25 minute wait on the last hole. Greens were slow and spongey, but consistent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a bad golf cart and they swapped it out in 5 minutes while we were on hole 4.
Sixth hole kills the round
As a senior who hits from white tees, the carry over the pond is too long. With no bailout on either side, only option is hitting from the women’s tees. This then faces an enormous uphill to the green.
It kills the front nine. Otherwise pleasing course.
Beach Vacation
Well kept public course. Good food at the 19th hole.
Great for Newer Golfers
The course is fairly open with nice generally wide fairways. There are some water and sand hazards, but not many. The sand are not pot bunkers so again, can be handled without extreme difficulty. This is a GREAT course for newer players! My daughter enjoyed the course so much that she played 4 days in a row. The course can challenge veteran golfers and overall I thought the question was well-maintained. Not sure you can go wrong playing this course and I would recommend it.
Slow greens
Slow slow greens and very tight with overgrown trees and strange layout
The front nine was long, wide and very enjoyable (and very unique course lay out). The back nine however has a totally different atmosphere. More challenging and narrower fair way. But the things that bother me most was that many holes with a blocked view from the tee box. I constantly had to drive up to see if we can make the tee shot (not just annoying but very dangerous if not careful)
Cart paths have not changed in 30 years
Condition of greens and fwys are OK now but put on your back brace if you use a cart.
For years they have ignored the cries to improve the paths. Instead they have just installed a solar farm on the property. If they paid attention to a few bare essential amenities they would get lots more play.
varied layout
Laurel Lane golf course has a really interesting layout. Each hole is very different . Some tees are very high and you shoot down to the green and some are very low with your shot needing to be way up on a hill to the green, and several where you blind shoot over a hill to the green on the other side. Fairways for the most part are pretty wide , and there a lot of holes where you need to drive all you've got. I find this course quite a challenge especially the 18th !
