Great course with some iconic holes
This was a really fun course and I really enjoyed playing here. We had to start on the back nine due to a frost delay pushing some earlier tee times back, but it was still really fun. The back nine has some very fun holes and some well placed fairway bunkers, while the front nine has some of the more picturesque holes. Number two is a reachable par five with a lake right behind the green, and three is a reachable par four going over said lake. I did notice that there didn't appear to be water stations as a previous review noted, but it was much less apparent in 30-40 degree weather.
No water offered on course
With 97° weather, no water coolers available on the course. I did see two water fountains one at one of the restrooms out on the course but the water was hot, another one somewhere on the course but no water would come out of it. I’ve never played on the course were they did not offer water. They did have two drink machines that had water bottles for a dollar but they were the little short bottles the kind that you can buy 24 for just a couple of dollars and they were selling them for a dollar per mini water bottle. The greens were very bumpy. When you would put your golf ball the ball with hop across the green all the way to the cup. Charging $28 to play 18 holes of golf with no water consideration given to the customers, this course is overrated.
A work in progress
The greens and fairways were in good shape; better than at the 1st of the year. The clubhouse, locker room and dining area is old and shows its age. There is noticeable work continuing on the course but it will take sometime for the course to reach its' glory days. Having said that, this was a good day to play golf on a course with low rates and close to home.
Enjoyable Round
Overall we had a great experience. Course was in pretty good shape. I wish the greens were a little faster. I like them blazing. To me this is a fabulous layout. One of the best around. Great variety of holes. It's a heck of a test from the black tees.
The only issue I have is the consistency of the greens day in and day out throughout the year. I drive from Grovetown and will leave any course if the greens aren't superb. I have to rely on the honesty of the person answering the phone to give me proper information.

Lost course
Hadn't played this course in 8 to 10 years, but this once decent course is now poorly managed, overgrown, unkept and just plain bad. Don't waste your money.
Course in great condition!
This course is in excellent condition. Fun course to play. Large greens and lots of elevation changes. Great bang for the buck!
This course is in really good condition. Have played there many times in the past. This is the best I have seen it!
Great Course and price for the round
Course in great condition and Courteous and friendly staff. New Golf carts and good practice facilities.
Good layout. Needs TLC
The office found an error in my booking through GOLF NOW.COM where they charged me twice for the same T time.
Awful
Most courses in the Augusta area are in great shape for the weeks around The Masters. This one, however, is in the worst shape I've seen it in three or four years.
Don't know why, but there was barely any grass on the fairways to speak of. Seems to not have returned from dormancy.
The greens were like putting on steel wool.....
Try it and You will like it!!
*No problems to get tee times during the weekdays
*Friendly and helpful staff
*Challenging Course layout;
*Adeqaute Course condition
*Relatively new and reliable golf cart
*Best price for the comparable golf courses in the area
Good course for the price
I played this course for the first time and I will be back. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course was in pretty good shape considering it's bermuda and bermuda hasn't fully come out of dormancy. The course is well designed and presents things to challenge each player no matter your natural shot (fade, draw, etc...). Greens are in pretty good shape and compared to other courses in the area the price is good. They have a seperate cooing green with balls for you to use and the putting green was in really good shape. The driving range and club house need a lot of tlc but for the price you can't beat it.
Still Improving
Course has been on the up swing from being in pretty bad shape for some time now. They have gotten most of the greens and fairways in really good shape. The course is somewhat hilly which makes it challenging.Overall a great round at an unbeatable price. The normal rate is $28, I found it as a hot deal on golf now for $17.
Poor Course Conditions
Layout was pretty nice. There was very little grass on the golf course. Mostly hitting off of dirt.
Enjoyable course
Always enjoy playing at Midland Valley course. People are friendly and the course can have challenging greens
A Wonderful Course
A challenging yet wonderful course. A little windy when we played and loved their greens. Nices carts around. Great for the bucks!
The course has a good layout and large greens
Enjoyed the round as the course was in good shape and the pace of play was excellent. Will be back to play again.
