Nice friendly course.
Nice course, the greens needs a little work, but overall, fairly nice.
Waste of time and money.
Played here for the first time in 2 years. The last time spent the drive home saying never again. We wanted to give it another go, BAD IDEA. The course, from the driving range to tee box to fairway to green, is in absolutely horrible shape. Bare ground everywhere. $38.50 when they could not run my Hero Card at the pro shop. We wanted to walk off at 9, but such a beautiful day kept us driving to the 10th tee, where we encountered a foursome that we had not seen on the front 9 at all. Being that it took our twosome 2 hours and 10 minutes to finish the front, we had plenty of time to stand around and keep our eyes open. The "management" if you can call them that, needs to honor tee times and be out ON THE FIRST TEE to control pace of play. The unplayable grounds, the wait 8 minutes after every shot, and the course allowing anyone to walk up, go out and tee it up on either the first or tenth tee, the outrageous $38.50 green fee, should and will be the downfall of this once great course. It will fade away like the early 70's clubhouse design is quickly doing. Zero love for this course from just one of many, every weekend, local duffers. Will never play here again.
SLOW
the first 4 holes were quick then we caught up to a group of 6 with 4 carts on the same hole.Took almost an hour to play the next 3 holes. Finally gave up and left.
Midland Valley GC
Course has excellent layout with average conditions. Course I've played many times over the years, so understanding the layout is helpful. Conditions OK for winter except for the greens which are difficult to putt since they are pretty beat up. I don't want to knock the course but I hope they get better in the growing season but it won't stop me from playing there since the shots required from tee to green is where I need the most practice and for the price it can't be beat. Shot 78 with a few three putts.
Needs a overhaul
This was the 4th time I have played this course over the years and was disappointing. The course was not worth the 38.00 and will be the last time I play there. Greens, bunkers, fairways and tee boxes are gone.
Midland Valley CC
Course I've played many times over the years, some course knowledge goes along way here. Great layout, every hole is challenging in its own way, three great par threes except maybe 17 just a blah par three, all other holes are very nice. Number 12 reminds me of Augusta National #9, sweeping downhill dogleg left par 4 with an uphill approach to a tough green. Conditions are just average, tees good, fairways OK grass is dormant here now, greens have the appearance that they have been recently airated. They were somewhat bumpy with some rough patches and just OK, medium speed, was able to hole quite a few 5 footers so mixed review of them. Decent score today 78 with no birdies, Great layout, course has been here for many years so some wear and tear around the edges, worth playing for the shot value.
Course in Great Shape
Enjoyed playing the course but pace of play was very slow. Had more to do with slow players than the course. Bunkers still need work from the recent torrential rains in SC.
Surprising Good Conditions at Midland Valley
Played in a charity tournament and was very pleasantly surprised at the excellent course conditions at Midland Valley. It has been more than two years since I've played here and things are much, much better than in the past. Great fairways and great greens.
This course has a great layout.
This is an under $40 course. You get great value for the buck. Greens are large and well maintained. This is a public course and gets a good deal of play which causes damages by carts when driving on fairways. I highly recommend this course for golfers who want a fun outing without breaking the bank.
