Cool tee shot at the par-3 13th hole. Reminds me a bit of 16 at Augusta. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 02/17/2020

A tricky finishing hole; a dogleg right over a lake to an elevated green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 02/17/2020

Poor conditions
The staff and facilities are actually nice. Driving range and putting greens are good and easy to reach. However, the course is way overdue for an upgrade. The greens are in bad shape and from the looks of it they tried to fix it but it’s not good. The fairways are al chopped up as are the t-boxes. It could’ve a nice course with a little TLC.
Soggy
Great Saturday golf today at Chester. Even without ran for the past ten days or so their were plenty of soggy places on the course. Also they have placed a weird pattern on the greens almost like a football gridiron’s really afftected every ones putting in my foursome. I spent a lot of the day in the fairway but was not rewarded because there is no grass to speak of. Nice course. Nice people. Just not the best place to play right now!
Little Rough
This course is one of my favorite, but today, she’s a little rough.... greens are patch work of repair and the fairways a littered with mud bogs... hope it improves because I really like the course
Worth the drive
This was my second time playing at Chester Golf Club. Superintendent and staff are re-sodding a few greens (one shut down today and one very recently finished) and I couldn’t be more impressed with the job they have done. To do the work they are doing in wet conditions and still have true rolls on the greens - They’re killing it.
Love the layout, friendly with some challenge to all playing abilities. It’s a great get away course that lies low and is more than worth playing. I’ll be playing again real soon.
Saturated
Cart path only made pace of play slow. Too much rain recently and course is water-logged with dormant Bermuda grass. Won’t go back until things dry out
Great course and great price
Great course even under the conditions (rain) the last few days. I will definitely play this course again!
Great Fall golf.
Great Fall day for golf. The course is in great shape right now! Chester is pretty wide open so it's pretty forgiving if your not quite on line. Fairways were looking good and clean. (Lush grass, no leaves) Greens were EXCELENT! Receptive from the fairways but fast on the putts. 9-10 on the stimp. It rained two days ago so the traps were still damp and compacted but had been raked and maintained properly. Pace of play was pretty good especially for a Sunday, several walkers with push carts but everyone was considerate and let faster players play through.
The 30-45min drive from Charlotte is well worth it.
Needs a starter.
Nice course. Been playing it all summer and stays backed up. Will have to find somewhere else to play because of the poor pace of play
Chester Golf Club
This is a hidden gem. Worth the drive for anyone located in Charlotte
Horrible conditions
Worst conditions I've ever seen been playing there for 20 years. Should be a $20 course.
Greens had stripes in the green and
GROW SOME GRASS ON THE TEE BLOCKS
Good course.
Great course except after rain. Very flat so poor drainage in a lot of fairways. It's a great course though.
