Linrick
The course was in good shape, the water hazards are a nice touch. They can't be seen on approach due to the hill, hitting blind. Need to review the course map to save strokes.
Great time great price
Great day. It was a Monday afternoon though!
Hidden Gem
First time playing the course. Great value and will play again. Worth a visit and make your opinion. I will be back.
Slow play, poor bunkers but good greens
Overall the course has a neat layout, though I am not a fan of the par 73 set up. Greens were extremely soft and not because of rain that I could tell, soft greens are better than firm greens but some of us were spinning the ball right off the front when we landed in the center. Bunkers were horrible. I am a two handicap and it took me four shots to get out of one bunker on the 10th hole, which knocked me out of contention. Fairways were in good shape, Teebox is were average in the greens were rolling smooth but I tad slow even downhill. Overall the layout is good except for a couple of screwy holes. The group behind us was extremely loud and inconsiderate of other people around them. I was not impressed with the inside Basilica ease, though I understand it is a county run golf course.
Play the tips for a real challenge
Greens were in excellent shape edge to edge. Fairways still plenty green even in this very hot condition. Water stations ice cold and plenty available. No noteable problems anywhere during this round.
Great course especially for the money
Amazing course! First time playing a course in Columbia and it was well worth it! Layout not too difficult except for a couple holes, fairways, greens, and tee boxes all fantastic. Staff friendly, even the hot dogs were great!! Logo balls also awesome. Go play this course!
Great layout
Greens are in transition between winter and summer. In a few weeks the course will be in great shape as it usually is
Unbelievable value!
I was staying in Columbia to see the Masters and wanted to play some inexpensive, convenient golf. For $15 I played 9 holes with a cart. The fairways and greens were in good condition. The rough was very rough. The other players I talked to were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely play here again if get to the Masters again!
Nice course
This course was hard for me because I'm not use to playing in hilly courses. But a beautiful place. Nice greens
Great time good course
I had a great time. I was matched up with two gentlemen since I was alone and although I held them up they were great to play with.
The course has a great features of hole placements. A fun challenging course. Greens always in good shape.
I always enjoy playing this course. The prices is great for a public course. The fairways and greens are alway in good shape and well maintained. Though recently due to the excessive amount of rain and flooding in South Carolina that we have been having, it has been cart path only, but the course is drying out, but the greens are in good shape. During the summer you would not thin that it's a public course.
Typical LinRik
As always course was in excellent condition even with all the rain we have had.
Great public Course
Probably the best public course you will find in Columbia. Never seen it in bad shape. Front 9 is fun, Back 9 is super challenging. Can't beat the conditions for the price. Must play in Columbia
Great Public Course!
This was a great public course. The course played well and was manicured like a nice public course would be. A few bad spots in greens, but overall they putted very well and true, with good average speed. fairways in good condition and were fairly wide open. Par 5's played long and most were not reachable in 2 and barely 3. One was 535 from second tees up hill. The short one at 429 had a hidden lake that requires a layup. Would play again!
HOT DEAL IN COLUMBIA
I played LinRick for the first time earlier this summer and it has just gotten better and better. I promise that you will not find a better deal at ANY course in the area. I would highly recommend that you download the app Golf Now. I played 18 holes with a cart yesterday for $11 total. The staff are always friendly and professional and the hotdogs are fantastic. I don't play anywhere else.
Value
Best course value in Columbia. Always green and lush. Greens are great and we'll maintained. Bunkers we'll kept. Grass was a bit long in the fairways but better than dirt.
With every course being at least ten minutes from town you cannot go wrong with another couple miles to Linrick.
BEST IN TOWN!
Nice course but nothing fancy
My buddy and I played here 9/13/2015 and we were impressed. The course didn't look too great as we pulled up but the fairways and rough were in excellent condition. Fun course for a good price.
Great shape
Course was in great shape. A friend and I were able to play 18 in a lol over 3 hours.
Great Shape
Li tick is a county course. It is a challenging layout with many interesting holes. A great bargain for the price. It's a county run course so it's facilities are what you expect. The course is the star. Definitely not an easy course. Conditions are remarkable.
Tee times
Tee times at this course were way too close together. Must have waited 5 mins between each shot or more. Took 5 hrs to play 18 as there were nobody to move pace of play. I'll play at Oak Hill, Timberlake or Cobblestone instead.
