Witch Golf Club

Course was not in the best of shape. My kudos to all the work they are performing at this time. Greens recently aerated. Should have been notified before booking. Putts bounced all over. Course design was good. Should be a very good track when maintenance is completed and greens healed.

This place used to be one of the best courses in myrtle beach but now it’s a total DUMP of a course. Most of the tee boxes were mud and most of the greens were basically putting on pure clay with no green what so ever. I will never pay $52 for that place again not will I ever play it again.

Terrible tee boxes, several of the greens were beyond terrible, virtually unplayable. Did see and alligator which was cool being on vacation from the Midwest. Also saw a staff member lose his mind and drive like a maniac and nearly flip his cart. Definitely not worth the $50 though.

Course was challenging and the layout was good. The tee boxes and greens were awful. Back 9 was particularly lousy.

On the plus side staff did mention that they airated the greens a month ago. So they were honest.
Cart girl working out of a igloo cooler had the cheapest beer @ 3.00 cans.

We did witness a younger grounds keeper on the 14th roll his Ute cart as he was laughing and doing circles while spraying the green. After uprighting he hit a stump and launched the chemical tank out of the back of the cart. Highlight of the day.

Not a course I would play again

All of the greens were in horrible condition with little to no grass. Half of the tee boxes were in horrible condition with little or no grass. The upkeep around the club house was bad, very bad. Service was decent and pace of play was good because hardly anyone was on the course. The cart girl was nice but didn’t have a loaded cart but used a regular cart to haul around some minimal refreshments. It was not a good experience.

Would have been nice to know that the greens were aerated 4 days before we played.

A couple tee boxes on the back nine were just dirt.

Course has some great holes with lots of water and trees. Would definitely play again in conditions were better.

We had such a great time! The course was in great shape! Absolutely beautiful green fairways and greens.

Short ride off the Strand delivers a great golf experience.

Great layout and honestly hate to hear this one is closing this fall!

Cool place to play. Fun experience traveling through the elevated wood cart trails that meander through the Spanish moss forest. Felt like we were the only golfers on the course.
Keep your eyes peel for the gators. We saw (and heard) a couple.

Not as burnt up as most courses that are impacted by no rain. Thumbs up to grounds crew!

Awesome course! Would play here again for sure. Challenges around every corner. The greens make you think as the holes are placed in locations that make you work for your score. Lots of opportunities to lose balls if you don’t think about good course management. Overall, fantastic experience as the fairways assignment greens were in excellent condition. The wildlife was an added bonus.

Great fun course to play. Front nine is unique setting thru swamps that is very scenic and enjoyable!
