Good bang for your buck
Friendly and helpful staff. A good course for the money. The only negative was 2-3 greens were in ok shape. Fairways were in good shape. A good course for a beginner to intermediate golfer. It would be helpful to have a layout of the holes on the score card or on the hole markers at the tee boxes. As first timers we were a little uncertain on green locations on some of the holes.
Had a GREAT time
This place is a bit of a hidden gem. The course isn't immaculate, but it's well maintained and you can tell the staff take pride in it. Jeff at the front desk welcomed us like old friends despite our never having been there before. While the layout is relatively easy, the greens are tough, deceptive, and guarded by a lot of well-placed bunkers. An awesome value overall; if you're ever in the area do yourself a favor and check it out.
Ok course design but poorly maintained
I went to this golf course because it had 27 holes but I was only able to play 18 due because I had to replay holes due to lawnmowers interruptions on my first 5 holes. No course map was provided, no hole diagram to let you know how the holes were shaped, and no hole diagram at the tee either. i tried to get over all of these little things but most of the greens were in poor shape and just made the whole experience a waste of my time and money.
Great course for price, worth a 40 minutes drive for us
We enjoyed our 18 holes of golf so much we stayed and played another 9. Friendly, helpful staff. Course in good shape. A few greens were a bit rough but not enough to deter us from going back.
Rude golfers on course
Was being slowed up in front by 2 groups of 4, I was playing alone. The guys behind me were very rude talking bad about how I was hitting and how slow the people in front were, I would have let them but they wouldn't have been able to go anywhere. I didn't even play my last 6 holes because I didn't want to have to deal with the guys behind me. My fiancee was riding with me and she even kept saying stuff about how out of line the guys behind us were.
Worst golf course I have played
Tee boxes are not level, fairways not cut, greens in awful shape, and it's bad when you lose a ball in the fairway because the grass is to high. It's like playing a a cow pasture that has been bush hogged
Need to redo greens
It is a 27 hole course. Instead of playing two nines, we skipped nine holes throughout the entire 27. This was because they had us skip the worst nine greens throughout the course. The greens we played were actually in pretty decent shape. A couple looked bad but played well. We did have to skip one of my favorite holes. They need to get rid of the bent and put some new greens in. They also use the clay looking sand in the bunkers, which makes the firmness of the sand a little less predictable. Great staff there, so that helps a lot.
Worst course I have played in a long time
The fairways were not too bad, but half of the greens were dead or dying. Many areas washed out and not repaired. I will never play there again
Great father son day
If you shoot around 85-90 and want to enjoy a relaxing round without the trappings of all that come along with the high priced "golf county clubs" you should come on out. 27 holes keeps the traffic moving along and the course is in good shape. Great value for the dollar
Course layout
I really like this course. Not too long and not too short. I like the different choices of Tee boxes to choose from to fit all skill levels. I have Osteoarthritis and cannot hit the ball as far as I used to so playing from the Red tees is a tremendous help. There are a few narrow holes but it is mostly wide open and not much water which I like. I really like holes 1-18. I do not like 19-27 as much. Course is well maintained and great value for the money.
You Get What You Pay For
Its a cheap course and it shows. The fairways were terrible. They were choppy and uneven. I ended up having to move my ball on most fairway shots to get it off the exposed dirt and on one of the patches of grass. The greens were in good shape though, they were a little inconsistent with speed, but enjoyable to putt on.
Great day to stroke.
I had a great day and the course/staff was delightful!
Rolling somewhere Grrens
Green very fast and not consistent - No two reads are the same - may be just the time of year but really hard to score on the greens. Pave of play was excellent and course pretty crowded. A little winding today and a lot of dead grass blowing in your eyes.
Good deal
With golf now the course was $25 dollars which is a great deal. The fairways were not very good but that is understandable concidering that it is just March. I like this course an would play it a lot for this price. Right fairways an hard to hit greens. Nice challenging course
27 holes with lots of variety
Rolling Green is truly a fun golf course. Its not the longest track, however, there is enough elevation changes, and doglegs and variations in the greens to keep most golfers entertained without beating them up
You get what you pay for
I got a hot deal on this course and when I showed up they said several of the holes were under repair so I couldn't play those. They have 27 holes so I was able to cobble together a round with a par of 73, mind you. The holes that were open still had badly damaged greens in many places. Additionally, my golf app has the holes labeled/numbered wrong, so that was frustrating but is not the course's fault. The course was practically empty so the good thing was I could move at the pace I wanted.
Weather has killed course
All the rain lately has badly damaged the course. I would not recommend playing there until we've had a few days of dry conditions.
Use the hot deal on Golf Now or don't go !
They have 27 holes on property but only 19 were actually available for play as poor greens and heavy rains made the other 8 holes unsuitable. The 19 we did play skipped around a good bit as we only played 5 holes on the first 9, 6 on the second 9 and 8 on the final 9. The holes we did play had good fairways and for the most part the greens were good but extremely slow. I'm glad I played it for $12.75 using Golf Now, I really would've been upset otherwise.
Close to me, but not the best.
Good laid back place to play. Close enough to squeeze in 9 holes after work. Greens are terrible, but still had fun and will go back. A little steep on price for the conditions but overall pretty decent place to go.
