Can't Believe It, I Expected Much Less

What a fantastic course, much more than I anticipated and even more. First, the staff is the best, so friendly, proficient and knowledgeable. They made me feel as I was "special".

The course is just fantastic, and a must play. The conditions are near perfect, even though management says much needs to be accomplished. As for play, it is perfect. The front nine is a little more forgiving than the back. All green complexes are elevated somewhat, you will not roll a ball onto the green. Putting is a challenge on very large greens so you best be in the right neighborhood. I do believe they break less than they appear, but caution is advised if you have a downhill putt. It will usually roll out more than expected.

I cannot say enough positives about this course. Even though private they accept guest play, but you'll feel like a member.

Tale of 2 9's

CCSC is one of my favorite layouts. The greens are usually very slippery and true. The front nine have some solid holes. Nothing that really blows you away, but is nice. Holes 11-18 are beautiful and very tough. The course is always in great shape too.

Fun course to play

My twosome played on Tuesday at noon and played in a little over 3 hours. Course was in great shape for early January. Many challenging holes but fair. Lots and lots of bunkers. Friendly staff. We will definitely play this course again.

Great course -- good value -- a hidden gem

The course is in great shape. The staff is very friendly. The pace is very good - played with son, daughter-in-law and wife and we finished 3 1/2 hrs. Would recommend this as a must play for anyone in Florence and as a day trip course.

Paul

Greens punched without any notice. Explained the 2 hour round pace of play as nobody was on the course. Fairways were excellent. Not sure about slope rating as it played pretty easy and relatively short. Bunkers were terrible. Biggest issue was how unplayable the greens were especially on back after being punched. MAKE SURE TO CHECK IF PUNCHED, DO NOT PLAY IF SO AS IT IS A TERRIBLE WASTE OF $$$! Yes every course is like this but better sand on the greens then in traps; use it for your bunkers.

The nicest course I have ever played.

This course was in great shape. The greens putted true and the grass in the fairway was nice to hit off of. The nicest course I have ever played on. Our round was pretty slow as we had three groups playing ahead of us. The most sand traps I have seen on a course. They made for some very challenging shots. The staff was excellent and the food was good. I plan to play here again.

Well kept secret

Most people don't know about "ccsc"... Meaning the fact that it is reasonably priced and much nicer than every other course in Florence. The greens are disease free, fairways are great, bunkers are well kept, the cantina is brand new. Love this course . Nice layout as well.

If you live in the Midlands go play this course!

My 1st time playing and it won't be the last. Fantastic design, challenging old style course. I kept thinking that the course was a Donald Ross design, then did some research and read that Elis Maple hadworked under him. Course was in good shape although you can tell that it has struggled in the past few years. The greensrolled very true and quick.

Played the course today(7 June) andthe course was in fantastic shape. The greens are the healthiest I have seen this year and rolled true and had good pace. They have already aerified the tees and fwys and are doing the greens this comming monday, I'm sure in a couple weeks they will be back in great shape. This is just a really, really good course and so much fun to play.
