Fort Mill Golf Club

It’s been awhile since we played Fort Mill but I have always liked the design and the course conditions today were very good. Dry enough to ride carts in fairways and greens were quick and healed from last punch.

Course was packed, rangers everywhere and the did absolutely nothing. Was hit into 3 times and rangers just sit there smoking. 2 1/2 hours for 9.

The course was not in a condition to charge $75 for the round. Had rain during the week but nothing that would completely saturate the course. A lot of mud in areas I would imagine be flush with fairway grass in the late spring. Greens were rolling super fast and simple chips would run off the other side making it difficult to even be close to the hole. But they didn’t punch yet. I’ll give them another go in late spring once everything is grown in.

I have to say the staff was very friendly and helpful, so hats off to them. I played on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't that busy which was great for the pace of play, especially in a golf cart (they were standard electric but in good condition). The area had experienced frost lately so the fairways weren't in the best shapes, but regardless they still looked a bit rough. Not sure if this area experiences a lot of floods, but the majority of the greens were on an elevated level, which gets a little old after 9 holes. Overall a good course to play, and fairly easy so you should be able to walk away with minimal ball loss.

Not worth the money for 9 holes....should be max of $25

Some of the best greens around, great people. But the bunkers are clay and gravel, very inconsistent, add a stroke if you find a bunker.

Greens are great,...top 5 worse sand traps I've ever played. I finished playing at 4:20pm on Friday. My buddies and I were looking forward to having something to eat and a drink after the round; club house completely locked down! There were many people still playing golf and the club house is closed? Did I mention it was just after 4pm on a Friday?? Ask staff and they said they close on Friday and Saturday at 4pm. I will look for another course to play on weekends where we can eat and have a few drinks after a round.
