Disappointed
The staff was as nice as could be. The course however, Sheesh. Some holes were decent, others looked completely abandoned. Hole #7 was by far the worst hole I’ve ever seen or played in my life. Everything on the hole was completely overgrown. There was literally no fairway, just weeds up to my knees. The fact that bunkers had rakes was laughable as they were all overrun with weeds and grass. We played this course out of desperation and will never consider it again. There’s a lot of potential here just needs a lot of love
Course continues to need work: tee boxes, sand traps and greens
All greens have bare spots on them and crazily the pins are placed in these spots as opposed to putting them in better shape spots on the greens. That should be common sense! Also, the bunkers have weeds in them and the ones without weeds have not been raked in a month. Many tee boxes have little or no grass causing footing issues. To add insult to injury, they recently raised the price with no playability improvements. I don't plan to go back.
Needs a lot of work
Read the reviews. Tried it anyways. Course should close in order to get all of the necessary repairs and growth in place. Nice staff. But the bargain price is not a bargain
It is getting there
Took some time off from golf so I had not played this course in a few years. It’s in better shape now than it was then. Still has a ways to go, but I would say it’s getting there. Tee boxes need some love, but you can find a spot to hit. Most of the greens were fine to putt on, a few had some dead spots here and there, but I’ve def. seen it worse. Running a golf course is no doubt time consuming and expensive, so naturally these things take time. I’ll really be interested to see how it looks in another month. The pace of play, course layout, staff, and cost make this a fun track in my eyes. I’ll be back.
Course under repair
Entire course should be listed as ground under repair. It was in terrible shape.
Just don't
Most of the greens were so rough that we implemented a 2 putt rule for fairness. Teeboxes are basically wilderness. Fairways are only distinguishable from the rough from the tee if you use your rangefinder as a telescope. As much centipede grass as whatever the inherent stuff was. And dirt, 1/3 dirt.
Ongoing
I’ve been coming here for the last year or so. The value is there plus I like to be able to play at a slower place with my girlfriend. She feels comfortable which is huge when starting out. Great value! Excited to see where the course is in a years time
Making improvements
Staff is always friendly . They are putting in work and #7 is back open Greens we’re a little rough but not too bad. Gotta think by summer they will have it in pretty good shape. Fun layout.
Much better than last year!!!
It is amazing at the progress the new management is making on the course. The pro shop looks completely different to. The course looks different and much better every time we play.
I really like the improvements they are making.
The greens have improved tremendously over the past few years. The staff has improved starting with the young woman who works the front counter daily. She is always sweet personable and shows a true concern with her golfers. The owner always comes out and speaks to every golfer who walks in the door. This makes it a better place even while improving the course. GRAAT JOB.
There’s potential
First time playing this course. Wanted to give it a chance…. Staff was friendly!! But poor tee time management. The first hole had so many different groups on it. So we decided to play the back nine. We teed off as a two man group. But before we could get going a threesome of locals completed front 9…. And said that they have “honors”. Respectfully they played slower than the game of golf itself. Took us an extra hour to get done. Water was refreshing. Course not kept up with. Very dry and hard as concrete. If you like playing in a desert this is the place for you :). We were about to tee off on 18 and a random group appeared, teed off before us disregarding our “honors”. We really wanted to give it a shot but came up disappointed.
