A Day on the Course
Great Value, Great Course.
Prices reasonaable at the pro shop and at the restaurant
Great day
I have played Crowfield on several occasions and always thought the course was exceptional. The fairways and tee box areas are in great shape and the greens firm and fast. Pace of play was awesome for the first nine but slowed a bit on the back. We still finished in 4:15; I'll take that any day! The only complaint I'll ever have about Crowfield is, you can be in the center of the fairway and have a side / uphill/downhill lie. Not the case on every hole but definitely on some. Regardless - the course is great especially considering the greens fees are some of the lowest around!
Really fun.
Visiting family and hit the course for the first time. Play it safe and smooth sailing but when does that EVER happen in the game of golf. Lol. The course was beautiful. Rolling hills bunkers and plenty of right and left turns. A wonderful adventure that I'd recommend to everyone. I really wish it was closer to home. I'll be back the first chance I get!!!!
Not customer friendly
We were a 3some and got to course early, used the putting greens and proceeded to tee box. No one had tee'd off for 30 minutes prior so we proceeded to the tee box. Starter came up and said "since you used golfnow, you can't tee off until your exact tee time" another golfnow 3some also had to wait before us. Les in the office told us if we paid full rate we could tee off at anytime. What? That's why we use Golfnow, is to save some money. Starter harrassed us the entire round
great golf
I enjoyed the challenge of the course. There were a few gotcha holes but when I play it again I will have a strategy to better my score. The Ranger gave me a few tips on how to play certain holes. Big help.
Hole in 1 on 13
We had a lot of fun playing this course! I have played about 6 or 7 courses in the area and this is my favorite so far. My cousin hit a hole in one on the 13th hole! There are a lot of large sand traps, but not too much water to avoid.
Tough but fun
Greens and fairways in great shape. Tight fairways require controlled drives and iron shots.
Excellent layout!
Course was in great shape, pace was going great until we started the back 9 but overall a good experience.
Lots of character, best course off of Kiawah Island.
If you like a challenge and enjoy course management you'll love this course. If it's your first time, drive ahead to get a look at your next shot. Shot placement is everything here. This one of the best, affordable courses in the area.
Great shape for the time of year.
I Have used tee times the past two times I'be played and the convenience is phenomenal which I feel sure will allow me to play a lot more in 2015. The prices allow me to play the nicer courses that otherwise I couldn't afford.
Challenging course, but fair
Course has plenty of sand and some troublesome water. Greens are fast and mix of some undulating, some small&narrow, some standard. Plays tough, but is open enough to recover from mistakes. Pace of play was decent, but they did send a group out on back 9 when we made the turn. Overall good course.
good value
The. Course was a bit watery. I was sent out by myself because the group l was paired with did'nt want to play with a black man and the course humiliated me. Thanks Crowfield
You won't be disappointed
Nice day for golf, I was a single joined up with 3 others. 2 had played before and helped steer my tee shots. Cool course, liked their bunkering. Fair amount of elevation changes. Greens had lot of sand on them, had been punched a few weeks ago so they rolled kinda slow, but no real issues there. If I lived here, no doubt this would be firmly in my rotation.
Greens are bad
Fairways are pretty good but the greens are in terrible shape real sandy and the pace of play was kinda slow.
Beautiful Course
This was our first time playing this course and it was a sunny day & the course was in great shape. We will definitely go back and tell our friends well worth the drive!!
Typically a great course to play...
Course is currently experiencing irrigation and drainage issues. While it was raining, the irrigation systems were running. Course is not draining well either. There are issues with fire ants taking over the tee-boxes and fairways, and the course was recently re-seeded. Give them a chance as it will be back to great conditions soon!
Great Layout...Many greens have severe undulations...Lots of fun
I have played a ton of golf courses and can honestly say that I could play this course every day and never get tired of it. It is not exceptionally long but there are many doglegs and hazards to negotiate. You will need to think. You will need accuracy off of the tee to play this course. There are huge bunkers in the fairways and a lot of deep green side bunkers. Some of the greens have multiple tiers. Most of the greens are elevated and very undulating. The 5th green is a 2 tiered green and the elevation from front to back is probably 5 feet. For me it was a lot of fun to play. I really enjoyed it and I will definitely be back next year. The greens probably rolled around 9 on the stimpmeter and were very true. There was a lot of rain in the area. Fairways had puddles. I think the moisture contributed to the greens running just a little slow.
The only downside was the condition of the green side bunkers. The heavy rains had washed a lot of the sand from the high faces in the bunkers. They were still playable but they needed a lot of grooming. If you ever get the chance Goooooo Playyyy!!!
Provides an enjoyable game of golf
I really enjoy playing Crowfield. It provides a good challenge but is not overly difficult, and it is kept in great shape. I will continue going back. For the price you can't beat it.
Toughest course in town
Always tough but love the challenge. Bring back the beverage cart please!

Thank you for your feedback. The tee time you booked was specifically reserved for 12:50 pm with the gentleman that posted the review below as a group of 3. It is our policy to hold the hot deal of the day to its designated tee time. While on the course, my ranger observed your group with the carts off the path around the greens twice. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to call the Head Golf Professional Rob Brock to discuss the matter in more detail.
