nice course 27 holes the maintance does a great job.
The course has all elements of difficulty.
Enjoyed the round . Players we were teamed with were not that good but they kept pace. The course was very challenging especially the pin placements and the speed of the greens. The course was not so crowded that pace of play was very good.
Solid 18
Came in town for a vacation and a buddy took me here. Solid weekday round at a great price. They have 27 holes and the 18 we played were challenging, but fun. Bring your "A" game.
Fun
Very nice this time of the year to have a green fairways that in self was impressive . The starter was informative , the marshal kept thing running a good pace enjoyable I have played a lot more and got a lot. Thanks for having on the list.
great course.challenging cours.
Staff in clubhouse was very short with us. Really did not have a friendly atmosphere. We ask if they were busy he said yes.At that time we were the only customers in clubhouse. We figured we better get out of clubhouse so that staff member would not be bothered by us.All I have to say if you can deal with the unprofessional staff in club house it's a great golf course.
Great course, Great value.
Very challenging course, kept in great condition, even in the winter months. A must play in the Charleston area!
Best course in Charleston
Crowfield is the best kept secret in Charleston golf. It isn't as well manicured as some of the resort courses. But it isn't as pretentious either. It is just an amazing course design with well kept greens. I played in late February and the greens were fast and rolled true. I could easily stop the ball when attacking the greens with a wedge or short iron. This is my favorite course to play in Charleston. And the price can't be beat.
Tough Course great for the money
This course will eat your lunch if your not ready for it, it demands a fade on most holes and shots into greens can be intimidating with the size and amount of bunkers. Good course....
play the fade
If you can play a fade and get to the 150, you can score on this course. Just a hint use the hills and you'll get extra yards.
All around great course
The staff was incredibly friendly. The course itself is challenging, well place hazards and elevation changes. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg to play like so many in the area. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a fun round.
awesome track
This was a very nice experience, ladies and gentleman when you get a chance to play here be ready for a treat! The fairways are over seeded which is really nice to this time of year. The greens were rolling about an 11! The 18th par 5 is no doubt a three shot hole from the tips. Be patient and hit it good !!!!!
Coarse in general was good; hole placement unreasonable.
Had son-in-law in from the UK. We had weekend in Charleston and had difficult time in selecting the "right" course to play. We choose Crowfield. This was both of our first time to play it. To be fair, they did remind us the course was difficult; not unreasonable. EVERY hole was on the side of an "ant hill" and impossible to putt, even though in several instances we were in reasonable birdy range on the green. We lost 2 diff't sets of friendly golfing pairs (who were regulars), that we picked up due to the hole placement nightmare. Several of the sand traps had standing water as well as one fairway bunker was all shells. Would love to play the course again with reasonable hole placement. I would have to assume the the hole placement was an isolated case. The few bunker issues were easy enough to play around. We only got in the shell bunker once and took a drop.
Great course for the money.
Course was great and i was able to find my tee shots rather well even if they weren't in the fairway.
One of the best golf courses I've ever play.
Very challenging!
Fun, outstanding layout, tough bunkers.
Tough course
The layout made you feel a high degree of accuracy was necessary on every shot on every hole. Lots of mounds in the fairways giving you sidehill lies. Greens were very undulating and hard to read. Super challenging but rewarding good shots.
Decent course for the price
Course was in decent shape. Pricing was pretty good, and the staff were very cordial and friendly.
this course has many different types of fairway layouts
great course!!! friendly staff . Met some really nice golfers. Had a great time. I will be back.
good value
Generally well maintained; few bad patches on greens. Fairways and greens are good, although people don't tend to fix their pitch marks on greens. Greens are almost all heavily tiered or very narrow, which makes accurate approaches vital. Course tends to flood easily and doesn't drain very well, especially the bunkers.
Very nice course
The course is well maintained. The course offers enough challenges to make it a fun round. The greens here offer some challenges you don't find by most of the courses in the area.
great features
one of the most challenging and well maintained courses in the Charleston area. A true gem.
