Village Greens Golf & Country Club
About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

Not the course it’s game of golf now!
Just tee times are too close together. It was a Saturday at 4, no need to push the pace of play!
Gorgeous
Course is in awesome shape. A little sand left over from punched greens but no biggie. Fun track and a great layout
VG meets expectations
Great value for the money on a hot deal. Pace of play was under four hours and very relaxing. Always enjoyed this course
Great course, hidden gem.
Village Greens is a great course. And I love playing it. But they recently punched the greens and they were a long way from being back to normal. Therefore they should have informed people in advance and offered a discount like most courses do. The rest of the course was in great shape. They have been doing a lot of brush and ground cover removal between holes and it really looks good and helps the look of the course. I am looking forward to going back in 6 weeks when I think the greens will be smooth again.
Nice Course
Nice layout requiring some strategy. Elevation changes, doglegs, and a few blind shots create some options for your shots. Green’s still recovering from being punched but still had plenty of break. Pace of play was very slow but might have just been one slow group as most players we saw played quickly. Will definitely try again.
Another great round at VG
This is one of my favorite courses to play. Usually the course is in great condition and this round was no exception. They had punched the greens a week earlier and I knew this going in. The greens rolled well even though they have not fully recovered from the maintenance.
Plays short from the whites (under 6,000 yards) but still has challenges, #2 Tee shot has been unkind to me recently. The topography of the course, specifically 2 and 7, add challenges you must account for off the tee. On the back, 16 and 18 hate me, the feeling is almost mutual.
All in all, a 40 minute drive is well worth it.
Course in progress
Greens punched and sandy. Some tee boxes aerated as well and moved completely. A few weeks from now the course may look nice. But right now not worth the money.
