Swamp Fox Golf Club is Lowcountry golf at its finest. Opened in 1935, Robert White designed the course, fully utilizing the mature trees and natural water hazards that cover the southern lowland landscape. The course maintains great conditions throughout the year. Trees line the fairways and strategically placed sand traps can be found lurking beside the greens. The greens putt true and fast and they are some of the best you will find in this area. Most of the holes are fairly straightforward although there are some tall trees that dictate the shape of some of the doglegs. There are enough challenges to keep you entertained but overall it is a player-friendly golf course that beginners can approach with confidence. There is also a separate short game area and putting green available at Swamp Fox Golf Club.
