Interesting Design
As I saw that this course had no reviews and I knew I was going to be in the area, I thought I would give it a go (I find reviews very helpful when venturing out into new territory). My review must be mixed. The course is pretty much presented in its natural state (fairways mowed but do not appear to be watered, natural grasses, very hard turf with lots of roll). The greens looked really bad, baked out, but surprisingly, they rolled pretty straight. The bunkers are more like waste areas but could be improved if golfers would rake out their footprints after they play. I would not mind giving the course another go because the design is interesting and the knowledge I gained yesterday would be helpful (pay attention to the hole layouts posted on the signs at each teeing area). I cannot recommend the course to my friends because they have much higher expectations than I do. Parkland reminds of the course I played on when I first picked up the game in the early 70's.
