Reviews
Great course for right handed drawer of the ball or left handed fader.
Nice staff and great prices on golfnow.com. Nice lay out for a right handed drawer(opposite for left hander) of the ball and you don't mind tight houses on both sides of the fairway on most of front nine and a few on the back nine. I enjoy playing the course because I score well being a drawer of the ball, but my two cons would be a few spots that are always wet and muddy and the "rock bunkers"... Clubs cost too much and no one's giving me a new wedge if I gouge it(weekend golfer-not sponsered by big name golf company that will just hand me another one for free...) hitting out of the bunkers filled with marble size up to golf ball size rocks... I always play right behind bunker on grass if I end up in the sand(new 58* xft wedge gouged the first time I hit out of one of their traps...not again). It is the best, good priced course, it is difficult for most golfers(80+% are slicer's), and it is in a great area in Irmo near Harbison.
Not worth the $
Played in August and it was overpriced and in rough shape. The greens especially were not maintained well at all. Very bare and sparse grass.
Possibly the worst course in the world
I grew up in this area and have played this course since I was 14. It was always poorly kept. The ONLY reasons I still play here is because of it's proximity to my home and there's an occasional golf now offer for under $15. Even still, the fees are WAY too high to consider playing here. A fair price for 18 holes here should be around $10 and that's still pushing it. Good luck distinguishing between the rough and the fairway. If you're lucky they will have cut the fairways within a month of your tee time. My recommendation is to skip this course and play somewhere in Lexington or Blythewood.
This course need some attention
I played with my son in law and two grandsons, who are beginners. the fairway and grass need to be mowed. the greens were fair. some patchy areas of dead grass.
