Very challenging
Nice layout green are very tricky and fast
Great track in the sandhills
Awesome layout. Greens were in great shape. A few spotty areas in the fairways but other than that in pretty great condition. Love the layout of course. Big rolling hills and the more flat pieces of the property are made up for it by interesting architecture that makes you think which club you want to pull. Loved the track. I will be back again.
Great course - conditions have been better
Played here a few times. The course is a gem but this week was a little disappointing. The Bermuda greens should be in better shape this time of the year. Not sure why but they were slow and soft.
They looked ~2 weeks from aeration but other comparable course are rolling much better. Hope they improve as the layout is great.
A beautiful day spent on Hyland!
Everything was perfect:
-friendly staff
-nice pro shop
-course in great condition
-pace of play was comfortable
-excellent value
This is a "must play" golf course while in Pinehurst!
Plays well, pace is TOO SLOW!
Some people were cutting in playing ahead, without the courtesy of asking. Front nine played fine but slowed DOWN a lot on the back, an elderly couple twosome were the cause, making the wait on a hot midday too long...ranger needs to keep pace of play going, especially a twosome holding up 4 or 5 groups behind them
Great Value
The greens were slower with all of the rain we have gotten in the past week, but everything is healthy and I never regret playing this course.
Emery a good place to play a quick round.
The course has dirt cart paths. The restrooms are OK. The staff is super friendly.
Beautiful layout
Beautiful layout and perfect green.but fairway is not fairway. If they keep fairway better , it would be 5 star definately
Nice layout
Greens and fairways were were in good shape. Some nice challenging holes with water. We will definitely come back.
Golf in January
Fantastic course and a great bargain. Fast greens that are really true.
Solid value, enjoyable, excellent greens.
Great but disappointing
Last year at this same time the course was in much better shape. Right now course is pretty dry and not quite as healthy as it was last year. Greens were good and fast. Hopefully next couple months it'll be back to normal
