Country Club of Newberry

Course is in GREAT shape.....except for the bunkers. They have good sand, its just never turned over & raked out. Its the 1 item that stops this from being a 5 Star rating. Can see a lot of improvements taking place this year.....but bunkers are always poorly maintained. Hard to hit quality bunker shots out of hard pan mud & very often it costs you an extra couple of shots. Too bad, as rest of course, tee to green is in excellent shape & one of the nicer layouts around.

The course is in excellent shape, EXCEPT for the bunkers. Almost always the one negative of this course. The sad part is, the sand they have in the bunkers is pretty good quality....its just NEVER turned over & raked out!! There are numerous green side bunkers on this course, and its almost impossible to hit quality sand shots out of hard pan mud. I know its hard to find labor these days, but really need to get a small tractor to turn these over occasionally, as this 1 item brings down the whole level of this, otherwise, great course. Greens are flawless & rolling great, fairways perfect height, and rough penalizes you, but not to the point you can't find your ball. You can see they're working on the course, always making noticeable improvements this year.....just the darn bunkers need attention too!!!

The course is recovering well from the drought. Some work is starting on fixing bunkers. Hope that continues. Pace was excellent. Always enjoy playing this course. A pleasant day indeed.

Played in 2 and a half hours. Greens were in good shape.

Great place to play. I would encourage any golfer to give it a shot for themselves,. I love the history of how it all got started there at The Country Club of NEWBERRY.

Course was in good shape. A heavy rain the night before softened the course a little but unfortunately left water standing in several of the bunkers. Greens putted well, quick enough but not slow. I always enjoy playing this course.

Course was in good shape. Staff was not available to check my in by my tee time, which was awkward. Signage was limited, so as a first time player is want sure where to go several times. Greens were i good shape. Short course and payed black on the blue tees. Some challenging and blind shots to make.

Trying to find somewhere to meet my buddy, this was 45 minutes from both of us. The course was in good condition. Water and bathroom facilities were plentiful. I can’t wait to go back. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the entire experience.

I would the the course was in good not great conditions. It can be a challenging course with a lot of sand and tight fairways. I would definitely recommend the course for the price right now.

Weekday is great on pace...usually, anything goes groups at other times. I've seen 6'somes. Greens were shaggy this go, hopefully they improve.

Great quality course. Obviously gonna have to waste a little at certain holes on the weekend but all in all my favorite course to play around the midlands.

Course is in pretty good shape and greening up. Several bunkers sill need some work. A good fun day.

Overall had a good round of golf.
Several greens in poor shape and golf path in many locations was very rough.
