Good value for the price
We booked this on line. Didn't know what to expect as far as conditions. For the price it was wasn't bad. Pace of play was 3 hours and 20 minutes. Finish the day in the clubhouse with a wonderful chicken salad sandwich.
Tough but fair
Starts out with a par 5 dogleg right so a little rough way to begin a round, and a par 5 to end it. Made the turn at 11am and grill wasn't really prepared for guests. Yesterday's hotdogs just put on the rollers but had to be put in the microwave for us to eat. Hadn't started the deep fryer so our fries came 15 min. after our dogs. Smoking allowed in the dining room! Course was in pretty good shape though. Greens in very good shape for the heat. Bunker sand only about 3 inches deep but playable for the most part. Great course for the money, no doubt about it. Will play again at Golf Now prices!
Even better than before
I played this course two years ago because it was a low price on Golf Now and I assumed it was near Myrtle Beach where I was vacationing. I discovered it was actually about 45 minutes away, but the price made it worth the drive. THe course was brown and dry except for the fairways and greens. This year, what a difference! The whole course was green, the fairways in good shape, and the greens were soft, smooth, and true. No, this is not a top course, but I played another economy course yesterday and compared to that one Pineland was great. I still have issues with pine cones hiding my ball, and some of the fringe is a little hard, but that is part of the charm of the course. George at the pro shop made me an egg sandwich before I headed out and after the round I purchased several items in the pro shop at a great price. I enjoyed the course so well I'm headed back Friday.
Best greens so far this year.
My wife and I played early and played in 3 hours. The layout was great. Tees and fairways were were in good shape considering it was late March and all the rain in the area since October. Greens had been arriated recently and holes filled in nicely. The rolled true and at a good speed. The staff was very accomating. The bunkers need a little work.
I will be back here soon.
Good day
Good little golf course enjoyed the day good fairways great greens should book if u are in the area
straight forward
a good course. a little out of the way, but worth the drive. #1 a par 5, don't go right otherwise, you are not getting home in 2. most holes you are able to see the green. #18, if you don't par or better, you should kick yourself. a short par 5. can move the ball forwards if you stray off the fairway. greens were solid and consistant.
Great value
Played Pineland in January and was thrilled to find that the fairways, greens, and tees were overseeded. Greens rolled as smoothly as anything around, even if they were a little bit slow. Well-bunkered greens provide a challenge, but the course is fairly wide open and not overly long so it's playable for anyone. I would definitely consider this course worth the price and it would make a great place to stop and play a quick round on the way in or out of Myrtle Beach (where you end up paying twice as much). Definitely a quiet spot that's off the beaten trail, but still an easy drive to NMB.
No funky holes its all right in front of you!
Nice layout fair shape good value i liked that you can hit driver on all par fours not target golf at all.par fives were good holes as well i played back tees was a fair challenge.
Nice little hideaway from myrtle beach
found this course on golf now for a rediculously low price. Went and played and was beyond worth paying. Course in great shape, the staff was great and friendly and showed the true meaning of "southern hospitality." Fairways in great shape, a nice challenge from the back tees and greens played true. Lots of bunkers in play on your approach shots, so be prepared with a good sand game. I played with some locals and they made my round fun, entertaining, and enjoyable. Will definitely play again here my next visit there.
I have always liked Pineland
Me & my friend had a great time at Pineland. We never got held up. The course was in beautiful shape. Some of the greens were a little bumpy because of some work recently done to them but should be perfect in a week or two. Staff was very friendly also. We WILL be going back SOON!
Improved course
We played his course several years ago and were very surprised at the overall improvements since then. we will certainly put this course on our list to return .
well worh the money
This course will be a excellent value this summer when the fairways grow back. the greens were the best I have seen so far this year, I would highly recommend this course
the country club at Pineland
This course reminded me of a course played at home. Fairly challenging, water in just the right places, sand traps could use more sand, greens ok, got to be able to work the ball a little, good price for the course. I would definitely play this sours again if I am in the area.
I greatly enjoyed this course
Although the course was under going some reconstruction, it was in better shape than the last time I played there. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make sure we enjoyed the experience. I would absolutely recommend this course to friends and will be returning soon myself!
Ok needs work
The layout was real nice , also the back 9was nice
All the greens need work , the fairways on some holes needed grass
Overall my score was about the same as normal 92
Good Course For Price We Paid
We enjoyed playing this course. They could use some more grass or better grass in some of the fairways and there are some bad spots on some of the greens, but it was okay. We shot our normal scores (89 & 93) that we shoot at other courses. The course is pretty open and we only lost two balls. One in the water and one in the woods. We would play here again.
Course was ok.
Green needs repaired and fairway was ok. Path need fixed.
great, cheap course!
The course itself was in average condition but for the price, it was great!
The staff were great, had a great and cheap sandwich. Beers were $2 each in a bucket of 6 and we got a free sleeve of balls each with our cart!
Overall, had a great day!
Worst course I have ever played
Total rip off even for the money. I wasn't a beautiful day. Don't make the same....
We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your day with us at Pineland. I have just taken over the course and we are in the process of making Pineland one of the area's best values. I will gladly give you and your party a free day of golf and food. Please contact me directly at 843-455-5600.

Early season golf
Last day of March and the fairways were still fully brown. The greens we OK but very slow. Price on Golf Now was so inexpensive it was worth the 45 min. drive fro Myrtle Beach. Over all this would be a great beginners course, other than a few water hazzards and pine cones that seem to hide wayward golf balls it is pretty wide open.
Trying to find information on the age limit for Senior Discounts and a phone number for information.
Looking forward to playing at this course in the near future.
