Santee Cooper Country Club
About
Santee Cooper Country Club is the sister course to Lake Marion, which sits less than 15 minutes away. Both courses are known for their exceptional greens that offer fast, smooth putting surfaces. The course wanders through the forests of majestic pines and native vegetation that border Lake Marion. The fairways are lined with trees and form twisting doglegs that can be quite tricky to navigate. The layout consists of an interesting mix of holes including challenging par 3s and risk-reward par 5s, which are all spread across a variety of different elevation changes. It is a golf course that will test your skills with different shot requirements, so be prepared to use every club in your bag. Santee Cooper Country Club finishes with one of the best closing holes in the area, which is partly memorable for its beautiful panoramic view of the lake.

Very nice layout
Our entire group enjoyed the course. The fairways were well maintained and although the greens were aerated the condition of them was good. Lots of doglegs which makes the course more challenging from the tee box. We plan on coming back again real soon.
first time on this course
We usually play on the lake Marion course but we liked this one better and will definitely return. It was a great value and I would recommend this course to my friends.
Best golf deal in the Charleston area is at Santee
Well worth the drive up from Charleston, to play a really well maintained course without large crowds. Also the GPS in the cart really aids and speeds up play.
Shotmakers course
You need to be accurate especially on par 4s that have the doglegs. Nice conditions greens and fairways. Keep ball under flag on approach shots.
LOVE IT!
Great course, not too busy like a lot of the Charleston area courses...but don't go play it because I love the current pace of play!!! The staff is really friendly.
A Fun Course to Play, In great shape, well drained, great value.
I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the starter especially. He explained the rules for the day, the GPS which I loved because it was not complex!
I drove from Mt. Pleasant, SC (about 50 + miles) to play because of it's reputation. I will be returning. For the rain they have experienced, there was VERY LITTLE standing water that I recall. The bunkers were wonderful and groomed...
GREENS WERE FABULOUS, OVERALL WELL MAINTAINED, WILL RETURN AGAIN SOON.
PLENTY OF HELP SPRAYING AND MOWING COURSE. THIS IS A GEM.
Good course but needs work!!!
Santee Cooper is a nice golf course, but we found the greens very lumpy, bunkers are not groomed. We have played three times now and have found that there is no Marshall enforcing the pace.
Disappointing for the area
This was an ok course, probably the worst of the 3 courses right in Santee. It was very nice to follow the course as it worked it's way through the subdivision. Though the course was relatively boring and not nearly in as good a shape as I expected. It was only a disappointment I think because I played Lake Marion and Santee National before, the course and experience in general was satisfactory.
Always fun
We played as a second round after cancelling a Monday round, they we a little backed up but as usual the course was great. This is on of my personal favourite Santee courses.
Speedy play was the story of the day.
A nice round for our foursome, with very few delays on the course. The weather was fantastic, and we had another great experience at Santee-Cooper.
CHALLENGING BUT FAIR
TOTALLY GREAT COURSE. VERY CHALLENGING GREENS .
FIRST TIME FOR ME AND I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN AND SO WILL THE OTHERS IN MY FOURSOME.
Great Value
The course was very playable with the greens rolling at a quick pace. It is a fine layout and always fun to play.
Challenging course, lots of dog legs. Carts have GPS is added bonue
Fairways have been seeded for winter. Nice touch verses other courses in region.
Great lay out and price reasonableness.. Friendly staff!!!
Played this course multiple times and plan of playing again with friends. Not too hard for new golfer but challenging enough for an avid golfer..
Greens were excellent
Course in great condition; pace of play aws good, staff always friendly; great experience!
A very senic coarse built next to Lake Marion.
A great coarse to play for all golf handicaps. Choose the right tee box and you will enjoy your round of golf here.
Good deal if you live close
Santee Copper CC was a good course and I enjoyed playing it. It seems to be the only course around that has growing / well maintained grass. The fairways were freshly cut and soft, the greens were not as well maintained and about an 11. The scenery was nice and had lots of trees. Overall minus the drive, this course and my time there was excellent. I would and will play here again sometime soon.
A Must Play
Great course that will take your breath away at #1, No gators, but lots of water to an elevated green. Has some long 3 pars that requires your best shot. Greens are in great shape.
Well worth the drive from Summerville.
We had a great day of golf at this nice course. Not much of a crowd in the middle of a July day, so we almost had the course to ourselves.
